Omg i just realized i've been doing this wrong!!! I've been waiting to report my doordash income until it hits my bank account. Am i going to get in trouble now??? I've only been on UC for 5 weeks!
Contact PA UC immediately to explain the situation. The sooner you correct this, the better. Bring documentation of all the work you've done and when you did it. If you self-report the error before they catch it, they're usually more understanding about honest mistakes. But don't delay - the longer this continues, the more serious any potential penalties could be.
Thanks everyone for the advice! I'm going to start reporting my 1099 work based on when I perform it, not when I get paid. I'll keep detailed records of hours, dates, and expected earnings so I can provide documentation if needed. Seems like the consensus is clear that PA wants work reported when performed, regardless of payment timing. I really appreciate all the help and personal experiences shared here!
That's great news! Most issues that people worry about end up resolving themselves. Glad it worked out smoothly for you.
my cousin works for the treasury departmen and he said they just got behind on processing this week, everything shud be back to normal next week
while we're waiting for these late payments has anyone else noticed the job search requirements are getting stricter?? my case worker said I need 5 work search activities now instead of 3? anyone else???
Just checking in - any updates on your situation? Were you able to get through to anyone using the suggestions here?
I actually have an update! I used Claimyr to get through to someone yesterday (after failing with regular phone calls again). The agent I spoke with found my claim and said it had been misclassified in their system, which is why it sat untouched for so long. She reclassified it and escalated it for immediate review. She said I should hear something within 5-7 business days. I'm cautiously optimistic but at least it's movement after 37 weeks of nothing! I'll update again when I hear more.
That's great news! Misclassification happens more often than they'd like to admit. Make sure to follow up if you don't hear anything within that timeframe. Also, you should be eligible for back payments for all those weeks if your claim is approved. Make sure they specifically address that when they process your claim.

If you do get through to someone, make sure to ask them to add detailed notes to your file about the discrepancy being a simple data entry error. Sometimes getting those notes in your file can help speed up the examiner's review when they get to your case. Also, request that they mark it as financially critical due to your impending bills. They sometimes prioritize cases where there's documented financial hardship.

•That's really helpful advice, thank you! I'll definitely mention the financial hardship aspect because it's absolutely true. Rent is already late and I'm getting nervous calls from my landlord.

UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at UC this morning! Used the Claimyr service that was suggested here and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. The agent said my review was triggered because my former employer reported slightly different hours than I did on that one week (their 37.5 vs my 37). She said she could see notes that the review was actually completed yesterday but hadn't been processed in the system yet. My payments should release within 2-3 business days including all back weeks! Such a relief after nearly 5 weeks of stress. Thanks everyone for the advice!
