my brother had the same thing last month and he got a job and they paid him all back pay like 2 weeks after he started working it was weird timing lol
To summarize what everyone is saying: 1. KEEP filing your weekly claims even after you start working 2. Report your work and earnings accurately (what you EARNED that week, not what you got paid) 3. Continue filing until your issues are resolved and you get your back pay 4. Try to reach PA UC either through normal channels, Claimyr, or contacting your state representative if needed You're absolutely entitled to benefits for the weeks you were eligible and properly filed claims. Finding a job doesn't erase that eligibility. Good luck with your interview!
UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at UC after using that Claimyr service. The agent was actually really helpful and filed an emergency hardship petition for me. They said I should hear back within 7-10 days on whether I can get any of the recouped money returned. They also connected me with a local housing assistance program that might be able to help with temporary housing until this gets sorted out. Will update again when I hear something. Thank you all for your advice!
That's excellent news! Make sure to keep following up if you don't hear back within the timeframe they promised. The housing assistance program should definitely be able to help with temporary accommodations - they often have funds specifically for situations like yours. Wishing you the best of luck!
keep fighting!!! the system wants us to give up but we deserve our money!!!! 💪💪
btw has anyone had issues with the Money Network card after getting through the cash office review? they finally approved my payments but then the card never showed up and i had to wait ANOTHER two weeks!!
UPDATE: I called again this morning (took forever to get through) and finally got more info. They said the Cash Office review was triggered because I had a previous claim from 2023 and they needed to verify I wasn't getting double payments or something. The rep said it should be processed by Friday! Fingers crossed she's right. Thanks everyone for your help!
Great news! Thanks for updating us. That Friday timeline sounds right based on my experience. The previous claim connection makes sense too - they're very careful about overlapping benefit years.
hope it comes through on time!! let us know what happens
Just wanted to add - if your new determination still doesn't look right, request a wage investigation! Sometimes employers don't report wages correctly or they get recorded under the wrong quarter. Happened to my sister and took 6 weeks to fix but she eventually got everything she was entitled to.

•Good tip - I've been keeping detailed records of my job applications and networking. Should have all the required work search activities documented and ready to go.

One final tip: When you successfully file your new claim after your BYE date, there will typically be a 1-2 week gap before payments resume. This is normal as they process your new application. Make sure you continue filing your weekly certifications during this period, even if the system shows your claim as pending. This ensures you'll receive all eligible payments once the new claim is approved.
