Where is my unemployment payment from NYS Department of Labor - claim approved but no money
My unemployment claim was approved by NYS Department of Labor three weeks ago and I've been filing my weekly claims every Sunday. The system shows my payments as 'released' but I still haven't received any money. My direct deposit info is correct and I've double-checked everything in my my.ny.gov account. Where is my unemployment payment? This is really stressing me out because I have bills due.

There's usually a 2-3 business day delay between when NYS Department of Labor releases payment and when it actually hits your account. If it's been longer than that, you might have an issue with your bank routing information or there could be a hold on your claim that's not showing up in the system.

•Contact both. Sometimes banks reject unemployment payments if the account name doesn't match exactly what's on file with NYS Department of Labor.

I had this exact problem last month! Turns out there was a verification hold on my account that wasn't showing up anywhere in my online portal. Had to speak to an actual NYS Department of Labor agent to find out what was going on.
