Why isn't my NYS Department of Labor unemployment deposited - payment missing
I've been filing my weekly claims with NYS Department of Labor for the past month and everything shows as processed on my.ny.gov but I haven't received any deposits. My claim status says 'approved' and I don't see any holds or issues. I set up direct deposit when I first applied and verified my bank account info multiple times. Is anyone else having payment delays? I'm really stressed because rent is due next week.

Check your payment history section on the NYS Department of Labor website first. Sometimes there's a delay between when it shows processed and when the actual deposit hits your account. Also verify your bank routing and account numbers are correct - one wrong digit can send payments to the wrong place.

•Just checked and it shows 'payment issued' for all four weeks but nothing in my bank account. Bank info looks right to me.

•How did you get through to them? I've been trying to call for days but can't get past the automated system.

This is unfortunately common with NYS Department of Labor payments. A few things to check: 1) Look for any correspondence in your online account inbox, 2) Verify your address is current because they might have mailed something, 3) Check if there's an ID verification requirement pending. Sometimes the system shows approved but there's still a backend hold.

•Found something in my inbox about identity verification from 2 weeks ago that I missed! Says I need to upload documents. Thank you!

I had the exact same issue and tried calling NYS Department of Labor for weeks with no luck. Someone here mentioned Claimyr and I tried their service at claimyr.com - they actually got me connected to an agent who found the problem right away. There's a video demo at https://youtu.be/qyftW-mnTNI that shows how it works. Cost way less than the stress I was dealing with trying to reach them myself.

•Never heard of that service before. Is it legit or just another scam?

•It's real - they just help you get through to actual NYS Department of Labor agents instead of sitting on hold forever. Worked for me when I was stuck in adjudication hell.

This system is so broken!! I've been waiting 3 months for payments and every time I call they give me a different excuse. First it was ID verification, then job search requirements, now they're saying something about my employer response. Meanwhile I'm behind on everything and they act like it's no big deal.

•I feel you completely. The NYS Department of Labor system is a nightmare to navigate when you actually need help.

I'm going through something similar right now - filed for 3 weeks, everything shows processed but no payments. After reading through these comments I'm going to check my inbox more carefully for any verification requests I might have missed. It's so frustrating that the system can show "approved" when there are still backend issues preventing payment. Has anyone found the best time of day to try calling the NYS Department of Labor? I've been trying mornings but maybe there's a better window.

•I've had better luck calling right when they open at 8am or around 4pm before they close. The mid-day hours seem to be the worst. Also try calling on Tuesday or Wednesday - Mondays are usually swamped. Make sure to have your social and claim confirmation number ready because they'll ask for it right away. Good luck getting through!
