What day of the week does NYS Department of Labor unemployment pay you - still waiting for deposit
I certified my weekly claim on Tuesday morning but still haven't gotten paid. This is my third week filing and I'm not sure what day of the week NYS Department of Labor actually sends out payments. My bank account is still empty and I'm starting to worry something went wrong with my claim. Does anyone know the exact day payments usually hit your account? I thought it was supposed to be Wednesday but maybe I'm wrong.

Most NYS Department of Labor payments go out on Tuesdays if you certify on Sunday or Monday. If you file later in the week like Tuesday, your payment usually processes the following Tuesday. The money typically hits your bank account 1-2 business days after NYS Department of Labor releases it, so Wednesday or Thursday for most people.

yeah its usually wednesday for me, been getting UI for 2 months now. but sometimes my bank is slow and it doesnt show up until thursday morning

Are you sure your claim isn't stuck in adjudication? I had the same thing happen where I was filing weekly claims but no payments were coming through. Turned out there was an issue with my job separation that needed to be reviewed. Check your my.ny.gov account to see if there are any flags or messages.

NYS Department of Labor typically processes payments on Tuesdays and they're released to financial institutions that same day. Most banks post the deposits by Wednesday, but some credit unions and smaller banks might take until Thursday.
