New York Unemployment: Waiting 6 weeks, no decision, now they want more questionnaires?
Been claiming for 6 weeks with no payment. Called unemployment and they said someone would call about a questionnaire, but I already sent everything to my case worker who promised a decision last friday. Was told to keep certifying but haven't gotten an approval or denial letter. Starting to lose hope. Anyone else dealing with this or have advice?

Same exact thing happening to me rn. Been waiting 7 weeks, sent everything twice already, and they keep saying different things every time I call. One agent says wait for a letter, another says questionnaire needed... its like they dont even look at our files fr 🤦♂️

Found a way to actually get someone helpful on the phone using claimyr.com - its this service that calls and waits on hold then connects you when a real person picks up. Costs $20 but honestly worth it cause I finally got answers. Check out their explanation video here: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Listen up, here's what you need to know about NY unemployment delays and questionnaires: First, KEEP CERTIFYING every week no matter what. Even if you're not getting paid, you'll get backpay once approved. Second, these questionnaires are usually identity verification or employment separation issues. They're annoying but necessary. Document everything. Third, if you need to actually reach someone, try: - Early morning calls (7:30am) - Use claimyr.com to get through (costs money but works) - Contact your state representative Fourth, check your spam folder daily for emails from them. Don't give up. The system is broken but persistence pays off. Been there, done that, got my benefits eventually.
