New York Unemployment Taking 7 Weeks With No Eligibility Decision
Applied for unemployment benefits 7 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything about my eligibility. The wait time is ridiculous. Called multiple times but can't get through to anyone. The online system just shows pending. Anyone else dealing with this?

Same here! Been waiting 8 weeks now. This is absolutely insane. They expect us to survive on what exactly while they take their sweet time? 🤔

I finally got through to someone using claimyr.com - it costs $20 but honestly worth every penny. They dial and wait on hold, then connect you when an agent picks up. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Listen up everyone - here's what you need to know about the eligibility determination process: First off, NY unemployment is massively backed up rn. But there are ways to speed things up: 1. Make sure ALL your docs are uploaded correctly 2. Double check your work history dates 3. If employer disputes anything, it takes longer 4. Use claimyr.com to actually reach someone (saved me hours) 5. Keep certifying weekly even while pending I work in HR and see this stuff all the time. DM if you need more help!
