Received first NY unemployment payment on Saturday, but still waiting for additional $504 payments released on 7/28 - should I call Way2Go?
Just got approved last week and received my first unemployment payment on Saturday. I certified on Sunday like normal but haven't gotten anything this week yet. The payment history shows my first payment but nothing new. Looking at my payment history on the NY unemployment website, I can see several payments: Week Ending | Total Amount | Net Amount | Effective Days | Release Date 07/23/2023 | $504.00 | $504.00 | 4 | 07/28/2023 07/16/2023 | $504.00 | $504.00 | 4 | 07/28/2023 07/09/2023 | $3.50 | $3.50 | 4 | 07/28/2023 07/02/2023 | $0.00 | $0.00 | 4 | 07/26/2023 07/09/2023 | $500.50 | $500.50 | 0 | 07/28/2023 My first payment of $500.50 for the week ending 07/09/2023 was released on 07/28, which I received on Saturday. I was expecting the $504 payments to hit my account by now too. The website says "If three days have passed since a payment was released and the funds are not in your account, you should contact the Way2Go Program Customer Service line at (844) 649-9845 if you have a debit card. If you have direct deposit, contact your bank. If there is a holiday in a given week, payments may be delayed by one day that week." Anyone else experiencing delays or know what's going on? Should I wait another day before calling the customer service number?

This happens alot with new claims. The first payment usually comes quick but the second one can take a few extra days to process. Give it until Friday, if nothing shows up by then you should probably call them.

I found a way to actually get through to someone! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you then connects you when there's an agent. Costs $20 but saved me hours of trying to get through. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

CHECK YOUR MESSAGES ON THE WEBSITE!! Sometimes they need additional info and won't tell you anywhere except in the message section 🤦♂️

Here's what you need to know about payment delays after initial claims: First, make sure your direct deposit info is correct. Sometimes the system glitches with new claims and reverts to debit card even if you selected direct deposit. Check your payment method in your account. Second, verify you certified correctly. Common issues: - Wrong dates selected - Questions answered differently than initial claim - System timeout during certification If everything looks correct, you'll need to speak with an agent. The phone lines are awful, but I recommend using claimyr.com to get through. They handle the calling and hold time for you. Lastly, check if there are any pending identity verification requests. This is super common with new claims and can hold up payments. Hope this helps! 💯
