New York Unemployment: Applied 5 weeks ago, no response, need contact info for Queens rep

I applied for unemployment over a month ago and still no word back. Starting to get really worried since my savings are running low. Not sure if I should start calling or wait longer. Anyone know how to get in touch with a Queens representative that could help speed this up?

Just did mine too, application from 6 weeks ago and radio silence. tbh you should start calling now. The earlier you start trying to reach them the better cause its gonna take forever to get through 🙄

I found a way to actually get through! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold, then connects you when they get someone. Costs $20 but worked for me. Check out their demo: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

100% legit used it twice already. beats calling 500 times yourself 💯

For Queens rep, call Jessica Ramos's office at [redacted]. They helped me get my claim pushed through after being stuck for weeks

Look here's the deal with NY unemployment right now. The system is massively backed up and waiting rarely works out. You've got several options: 1. Start calling repeatedly (use claimyr.com if you don't want to waste hours) 2. Contact your local rep (find them at nysenate.gov) 3. Email your documents to [redacted] 4. File a complaint with the DOL DON'T just keep waiting. Take action now because the backup is only getting worse. Document everything and keep all your proof of job search activities. Protip: if you get through, ask them to put notes on your file about the call. Makes follow-ups easier.
