NY unemployment payment delayed because of Labor Day?

Yep holidays definitely delay payments. Whenever there's a bank holiday, everything gets pushed back by a day. I'd expect to see your payment tomorrow (Wednesday). The same thing happened to me on Memorial Day.

Yeah its definitely the holiday delay. Last 4th of July my payment showed up on wednesday instead of tuesday. They should really put this info somewhere obvious on the site so people dont freak out every holiday.

I've been on unemployment since march and yep every holiday messes with the schedule. My guess is your payment will come tomorrow. I think its because the ACH transfer system banks use doesnt run on federal holidays.

If ur worried bout ur payment u should call them!! But good luck getting through LOL 💀 i tried for two weeks straight and couldnt get a human. The phone system is a complete joke.

My roommate deals with this every holiday. He said his payment always shows up the morning after the usual day when there's a holiday involved. So expect it tomorrow morning.

its 100% becuz of the holiday. the whole banking system is delayed by a day. happens with my paycheck at work too, not just unemployment. sux but nothin we can do bout it

PSA: This happens with EVERY federal holiday! Mark your calendars for Columbus Day (Oct 9), Veterans Day (Nov 11), etc. so you're not caught off guard next time!

Another day another problem with the ny unemployment system... but yeah holiday delays are normal. If it doesn't show up by Thursday THEN start worrying and get on the phone with them.
