Anyone else missing their NY unemployment payment today? System showing 'paid' but nothing in account
So I usually get my payment every Tuesday around 5-6am but its now almost 2pm and nothing has hit my account. I've been collecting benefits since November after our company downsized and never had an issue before. Checked my payment history on the website and it says the payment was released yesterday like normal, but nothing in my bank account. Called my bank and they don't see any pending deposits either. Anyone else experiencing delays with NY unemployment this week? Getting kinda worried since I have rent coming up next week and was counting on this money.

Same here. Been getting my payments without any issues for 4 months and now suddenly nothing showed up today. The website says payment was processed but my account is empty. Called my bank and they said there's no pending deposits. Starting to freak out a little since I have bills due.

Glad I'm not the only one (well not glad but you know what I mean). Let me know if yours shows up!

This happened to me a few weeks ago. The money showed up a day late. Bank said something about ACH processing delays.

After spending weeks trying to reach anyone at unemployment, I finally found a service called Claimyr that got me connected to an actual human at the unemployment office. They called and stayed on hold for me, then connected me with a live agent. It was the best money I've ever spent to finally get my benefits paid quickly. Check them out at claimyr.com or watch this video: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Is this for real? Sounds too good to be true honestly

Totally real. I was super skeptical too but was desperate after trying for 3 weeks to get through. The service connects you with an actual DOL rep who can solve your issue right away.

I get the skepticism. But it literally just connects you with a real agent. That's it. Was the only thing that worked for me after weeks of frustration.

wait hold up - does this actually work or is it just the usual BS?

It worked for me! The agent fixed my account issues in about 5 minutes once I actually got to talk to someone. Talking to a real person makes all the difference.

Just got off the phone with the DOL. They said there was a glitch in the system affecting direct deposits and they're working on it. Should be resolved by tomorrow. The rep told me lots of people are calling about this today.

Thanks for the update! How did you even get through? I've been trying to call all morning and kept getting hung up on because of 'high call volume'

I used claimyr.com to get through. They got me a callback from an agent in about an hour. Way better than spending all day hitting redial.

This actually happened last month too! It's because the 1st was a banking holiday. Some banks process delays differently. Mine showed up a day late but I still got it.

Its because the system is overloaded. They're updating something on there end. I follow a NY DOL worker on twitter who mentioned system maintenance this week that might cause some delays. Should fix itself by tomorrow.

Can you share that Twitter account? Would be helpful to follow for updates

Here's what you need to know about payment delays with NY unemployment: First, check your payment history on the website to confirm it shows as 'Released' or 'Processed'. If it does (like yours), it means the system has sent the payment but there's a delay in processing. Common reasons for delays: - Bank processing times (especially around holidays) - System maintenance at NYSDOL (happens monthly) - High volume of payments being processed - ACH network congestion What to do: 1. Wait 24-48 hours as most delays resolve themselves 2. If it doesn't arrive by Thursday, you need to speak with an agent 3. Document everything - screenshots of your payment history, date/time The fastest way to get help is to speak directly with an agent. After struggling with this myself, I found that using Claimyr.com was the only reliable way to actually get through to someone. The service calls unemployment for you and connects you with a live agent when they finally pick up. Hang in there! The system is frustrating but your money is probably just delayed, not lost.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll give it until tomorrow before I panic. I'll check out that site if I need to talk to someone.

THIS!!! Such great advice. I spent WEEKS trying to get through on my own before finding Claimyr. Worth every penny when your benefits are stuck.

Check if ur bank info is still correct in the system. My cousin had this happen and somehow his bank details got changed randomly in the system.

They always playin games with our money smh. Last time this happened to me it was cuz they randomly decided I needed to verify my identity AGAIN even tho I'd been getting paid for months. Had to call to fix it.

I noticed the DOL website has a banner saying they're doing system maintenance this week. Bet that's related. Classic government IT 🤡

UPDATE: Just called my bank again and they said theres a nationwide ACH processing delay affecting government payments. The customer service rep said several customers have called about missing payments today (not just unemployment but tax refunds too).

I work for a credit union (not in NY) and can confirm there have been ACH delays the past 2 days. It's a processing issue.

Make sure you didnt get an email saying you need to recertify or submit additional documentation. They love to randomly require that stuff and not tell you until your payment is late.

Anybody else notice that everytime there's a holiday weekend the payments get all messed up the following week? Happens every single time I swear.

Omg yes!! I've been collecting since September and every single holiday creates some kind of issue. The system is so outdated.
