NY unemployment KeyBank card transaction history disappeared - how to retrieve it?

I've been receiving my NY unemployment benefits on my KeyBank card for the past 2 months. I need to check what transactions I've made but when I log into the KeyBank site, I can only see the last week of activity. Does anyone know how to view or download the complete transaction history? I need to document all my expenses for my tax records and I'm worried some transactions might be missing. The KeyBank customer service number keeps me on hold forever and I haven't been able to get through to a real person.

u just click the 'transaction history' tab and change the date range. pretty simple lol

Thanks but I already tried that. It only lets me go back 30 days max, and I need my full history since I started receiving benefits.

The KeyBank unemployment debit card portal has a limit on how far back you can view transactions online. To get your complete transaction history, you need to call their dedicated unemployment card services line at 1-866-295-2955. Select the option for transaction history when prompted, and request that they mail you a paper statement of your complete history. \n\nAlternatively, if you have a KeyBank account linked to your card, you can visit a local branch with your ID and they can print your transaction history on the spot.

Thank you so much for the detailed information! I'll try calling that specific number instead of the general customer service line. Do you know if they charge a fee for mailing the paper statement?

You're welcome! There's no fee for your first transaction history request in a month, but additional requests might incur a small fee (around $2-3). If you need it urgently, I'd recommend the branch visit option if there's one near you.

I've been trying to get my transaction history for WEEKS from KeyBank and can't get through to ANYONE!!! Every time I call I'm on hold for at least 45 minutes and then it just disconnects me. This is RIDICULOUS! Has anyone found a way to actually speak to a human being there??

Same here! I think the NY unemployment office uses KeyBank to make it DELIBERATELY difficult to access our money and records. I needed my transaction history for a housing application and couldn't get it in time. Almost lost the apartment! The whole system is designed to frustrate us!

After struggling with the same issue for days, I finally got my complete KeyBank transaction history by using Claimyr. It's a service that gets you through to an actual KeyBank agent without the endless hold times. I was connected in about 10 minutes instead of waiting for hours. The agent was able to email me my complete transaction history immediately.\n\nYou can check them out at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE\n\nSaved me so much frustration after trying for days to get through on my own!

sounds like an ad lol

Not an ad, just sharing what worked for me after wasting hours on hold. Do whatever works for you.

Here's a pro tip: If you need your transaction history quickly and can't wait for customer service, you can also request your transaction history through the KeyBank mobile app. Go to the unemployment card section, select Account Services → Transaction History → Request Full Statement. You'll receive an email within 24-48 hours with a PDF of your complete history.\n\nAlso worth noting - you should be able to download your transactions as a CSV file if you go to the website (not the app) and login during non-peak hours (try early morning). The download option sometimes disappears during high traffic periods.

This is extremely helpful! I just checked the app and found the options you mentioned. I've requested the full statement through email. Thank you so much for the detailed instructions!

I had this same problem last month when I needed my transaction history for my apartment application. What worked for me was going directly to a KeyBank branch. The teller was able to print my entire transaction history going back to when my unemployment benefits started. Just make sure to bring your KeyBank card and a photo ID. Takes like 10 minutes tops!

That sounds like a good option! Is there any fee for getting the printed statement at the branch?

0 coins

Nope, it was completely free! The teller said the first statement request each month is always free. They were actually really helpful in person, way better than trying to deal with the phone system.

btw if ur just doing this for taxes u dont actually need every single transaction, just the total unemployment amount u got for the year. you'll get a 1099-G form that has that info

Thanks for mentioning that. I actually need the detailed transactions because I'm separating which withdrawals were for qualified expenses versus personal use. My tax preparer said it would help with documenting everything properly.

Quick update in case this helps others: NY DOL recently announced they're transitioning from KeyBank to a new financial provider for unemployment benefits in late 2025. The new system will supposedly have better digital access to transaction records and improved customer service. But for now, the methods we've discussed are your best options for retrieving your transaction history.

Thank GOD they're getting rid of KeyBank!!! Worst customer service ever! I hope the new provider actually answers their phones!

Update: I was able to get my transaction history! I ended up following the advice to visit a KeyBank branch in person. The representative was really helpful and printed my complete history for free. For anyone else needing this, definitely try the in-person option if you can - it was much easier than dealing with phone systems. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!
