How to check if my 2019 tax return was accepted for NY unemployment verification?

Call them. That's literally the only way you'll get answers with ny unemployment. I know it's frustrating but u gotta keep trying. I was in the same situation last year and spent WEEKS trying to reach someone. Try calling right when they open at 8am.

Check your online account message inbox. Sometimes they send updates there that don't come thru as emails or texts. Also check your spam folder! My notification was there.

have u tried contacting ur state rep? thats how i finally got my claim moving after 2 months of nothing. they have special contacts at the unemployment office.

When I submitted my tax docs, I never got any confirmation. But suddenly 6 weeks later all the back pay showed up in my account. No notification, no update on the website, nothing. NY unemployment is a disaster right now.

If its been 3 weeks with no response, you need to be proactive. The system is overwhelmed but they are working through cases. My friend faxed her docs (yes, seriously) and got processed faster than online submission. So stupid but apparently it works 🤷‍♀️

Check if your claim status changed from "pending" to anything else. Also log into your account and look under "payment history" - sometimes benefits get approved and even paid without ANY notification! It's ridiculous 🤡

the unemployment website lies!!! it told me my claim was under review but when i finally got through to an agent they said they never even recieved my documents. CALL THEM! it's the only way to make sure your case is actually being worked on and not lost in the system somewhere.

They lost my friend's tax docs TWICE and she had to send them 3 times. Make sure you keep copies of literally everything. Take screenshots of confirmation pages. NY unemployment is a nightmare rn and they make "mistakes" constantly.

The real issue isnt knowing if ur 2019 taxes were received, its that they NEVER TELL YOU ANYTHING. I've been dealing with ny unemployment since October and communication is nonexistent. You have to chase them for every single update.
