How long after waiting week to get paid for NY Unemployment?

Hey everyone, I just finished my waiting week for unemployment in New York. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the first payment after that? I'm getting anxious about when the money will hit my account. Any info would be really helpful!

It usually takes about 2-3 business days after the waiting week for the payment to process. But don't quote me on that, the system can be unpredictable sometimes šŸ™„

2-3 days? Lol I wish. Took me almost 2 weeks to see any $$$. NY unemployment is a joke

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure thing! So basically, their system keeps calling and navigating the phone tree until it gets a human. Then it calls you. No guarantee, but it worked for me first try. Check out their website claimyr.com for more info.

In my experience, it took about a week after the waiting period. But I've heard it can vary. Have you checked your payment history on the ny unemployment website?

Here's what I know about the NY unemployment payment process after the waiting week: ā€¢ Typically, it takes 2-3 business days for the first payment to process ā€¢ However, it can take up to 1-2 weeks in some cases ā€¢ Make sure you've completed all necessary certifications ā€¢ Double-check that your direct deposit info is correct ā€¢ Keep an eye on your payment history in your online account If it's been more than 2 weeks, you might want to try contacting them. I've heard good things about using claimyr.com to get through on the phone if you're having trouble reaching someone. Hang in there, OP! The first payment is usually the slowest, it should be more regular after that.

Wow, thanks for all the detailed info! Really appreciate it. I'll def check out that claimyr site if I don't see anything in a week.

Has anyone else noticed that the ny unemployment site is always down for maintenance when you need it most? šŸ™„ Like, do they not want us to get paid or what?

Omg yes! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna log in and they're like 'nope, not today!' šŸ˜¤

Pro tip: Try accessing the site late at night or early morning. Less traffic, fewer issues.

I heard if you sacrifice a goat under a full moon while chanting 'show me the money', your payment processes faster. šŸšŸŒ•šŸ’° (jk obviously, but sometimes it feels like that's what it takes

Friendly reminder to everyone: make sure you're certifying each week! Even if your payment is delayed, don't forget to do this or you might miss out on benefits.
