Heads up - NY unemployment payments delayed because of Presidents' Day
Just wanted to remind everyone that payments will be delayed this week because of the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday. Don't freak out if your money doesn't hit your account when it normally does. The whole system shifts back a day whenever there's a holiday. I see this happen every holiday and then the forum gets flooded with people thinking something went wrong with their claims. Nope - just the usual delay. You'll get your payment, just a day later than usual. Not DOL's fault this time 😂

•It just works lol. I was skeptical too but I was desperate. They don't ask for any personal info about your claim or anything weird. They just call and call until they get through, then your phone rings. Talking to an agent got my payments flowing again after being stuck for 3 weeks.

It'll save you anxiety every holiday. If you're struggling to get through to someone (which is basically impossible through normal channels), I'd recommend claimyr.com - it was the only thing that worked when my claim got stuck in verification limbo for weeks. •That sounds like a separate issue. The holiday just delays the normal payment schedule. If you got an actual error message, you should probably try to contact them.
