Filed ny unemployment claim on Sunday but no payment - is this normal?

Also make sure you log into the actual unemployment website and not just checking your bank account - sometimes the payment will show as 'pending' in the system for a few days before it hits your account.

Check if your benefit year ended. Even if you still have money left in your claim, they stop payments when you hit the 1-year mark and you have to reapply.

I've been on unemployment 3 different times over the years and this kind of thing happens ALL THE TIME with ny unemployment. It's so frustrating. Last time my payment was delayed they said it was because my identity needed to be verified... even though I'd already been getting payments for months 🤦‍♀️

did u check ur answrs to make sure u didnt accidentaly say u refused work or traveled out of state? those will immeditely stop ur benefits.

When did you file? If it was late Sunday night it might count as Monday. Also the system has been super slow lately with all the layoffs happening.

Sometimes they stop payments if they think you made a mistake on your certification. One time I accidentally put that I worked 1 hour when I meant to put 0 and they froze my entire claim. Had to call to fix it.

Could be a bank issue too, not just unemployment. Sometimes my bank holds the deposit for 24-48 hours before it shows in my account, even though it says it's been processed on the unemployment side.
