Does Memorial Day affect unemployment weekly claim filing with NYS Department of Labor?
Quick question - I usually file my weekly claim on Monday mornings but this week is Memorial Day. Does the holiday affect when I can file or when payments get processed? The NYS Department of Labor website doesn't really clarify this and I don't want to mess up my claim timing. Anyone know if federal holidays change anything with the unemployment system?

You can still file your weekly claim on Memorial Day - the online system runs 24/7. The holiday might delay payment processing by a day or two since banks are closed, but you won't lose eligibility as long as you file within your normal weekly window.
