Is NYS Department of Labor unemployment office open today - need to file weekly claim
Quick question - is the NYS Department of Labor unemployment system open today? I need to file my weekly claim and I'm not sure if today counts as a business day or if there's some kind of holiday I missed. The my.ny.gov website isn't giving me a clear answer and I don't want to miss my deadline. Anyone know if I can still certify today?

The online system at my.ny.gov is available 24/7 for weekly claims, even on weekends and most holidays. You should be able to file your weekly certification anytime. The only time it goes down is for scheduled maintenance, usually late Sunday nights.

yeah the website works all the time but sometimes its slow on mondays because everyone waits until the last minute lol

I always file mine on Sunday nights just to be safe. The system is usually pretty fast then and I don't have to worry about forgetting during the week.
