Does NYS Department of Labor unemployment pay on Memorial Day holiday?
Quick question - I usually get my unemployment payment on Tuesdays but Memorial Day is coming up next week. Does NYS Department of Labor still process payments on federal holidays? Should I expect my weekly benefit to be delayed or will it come through as normal? I'm trying to plan my budget and bills around this.

Federal holidays don't typically affect NYS Department of Labor payment processing since most of it's automated now. Your payment should still arrive on your normal day. The only time I've seen delays is when there's a system maintenance issue, not because of holidays.

i think it depends on your bank too? like some banks dont process anything on holidays even if nys sends it out
