I got denied unemployment after being laid off from my job. They said I didn't work enough hours or make enough money to qualify. How is this possible when I was laid off and didn't quit or get fired? Makes no sense that they can deny benefits when the company literally let me go.

My daughter hasnt claimed benefits last week and still hasnt found work. Can she continue claiming benefits or does she need to start a new application? Really worried about this since she needs the money for rent.

Missing a week isn't the end of the world, but here's what your daughter needs to do: - Log in to her account asap - When certifying, the system will ask about the missed week - Make sure she has proof of job searches for BOTH weeks - If the system gives her any issues, don't panic!
