New York Unemployment denied after layoff due to not meeting earnings requirement

Yeah its crazy but NY requires you to have earned at least $3,100 in your base period and worked in at least 2 quarters. Doesn't matter if you were laid off, you still gotta meet those requirements first 🤷‍♂️

Look up 'alternate base period' - might help if ur regular base period doesn't qualify. Sometimes they can use more recent work history
