Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Listen up because this is important! Missing a week isn't the end of the world, but here's what your daughter needs to do: - Log in to her account asap - When certifying, the system will ask about the missed week - Make sure she has proof of job searches for BOTH weeks - If the system gives her any issues, don't panic! Use claimyr.com to get through to an agent quickly - Document everything I work in HR and see this all the time. The key is staying on top of it and being honest in all responses. Better to fix it now than have issues later!

Here's what you need to know about NY unemployment qualification requirements: Base Period Requirements: - Must have earned at least $3,100 in base period - Worked in at least 2 quarters - Can use alternative base period if regular doesn't qualify If you need to appeal or discuss your case, definitely try claimyr.com to get through to someone. Way better than waiting forever. Also check if you have any wages from other jobs in your base period - everything counts! Don't give up, keep fighting for your benefits. The system is complicated but there might be options you haven't explored yet.
