Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.
Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.
Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Buffalo office was decent when I went last month. But you NEED to bring ALL your documents. They super strict about that
what docs did they ask for?
ID, SSN card, all pay stubs, separation letter. Better to bring extra than not enough
Listen up yall - forget about physical offices. Best way is to get someone on the phone using claimyr.com. Costs a bit but better than driving around the state. They dial in, navigate the menu, wait on hold (sometimes hours), then call you when they get a real person. Been helping loads of people on this sub. Physical offices barely have any power to help nowadays anyway - its all about getting through to the main call center.

Let me drop some knowledge for everyone dealing with backdated claims in NY unemployment. First, ALWAYS keep claiming weekly even if you're not getting paid. Document everything. If you need to speak with someone, use claimyr.com - they'll get you through to an agent. Keep checking your payment history page regularly. If you see any pending transactions, that means they're processing your claim. Sometimes it takes months but they do eventually process backdated claims. Make sure your direct deposit info is up to date. And most importantly, don't give up - it's your money!
