Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Did you check if your identity has been verified in the system? A lot of claims are stuck in ID verification hell right now. If you log in and see a message about ID verification, you need to upload documents through ID.me or their system.
I don't see anything about ID verification in my account. Just a pending status with no explanation.

Check ur claim status online. Sometimes they fix issues without telling u and u might suddenly see payments pending. Happened to me after weeks of radio silence.
I check online obsessively lol. Still says "pending - contact agent" which is the whole problem!
This whole system makes me RAGE. I ended up using Claimyr last month (claimyr.com) after my roommate recommended it. They kept calling until someone answered, then connected me right away. Talking to a real person finally got my back payments released. Best money I ever spent after losing 2 months of benefits to the void
Not a scam - they just do the annoying part of calling over and over for you. Once they get through, your phone rings and you talk directly to the unemployment agent. No different than if a friend kept calling for you until they got through

getting the card is a good sign but honestly ny unemployment is such a mess right now who knows. my friend and i both applied the same day, she got paid in 2 weeks, took me 6 weeks with no explanation for the delay.
fr its completely random. some people sail through and others get stuck in limbo for months 🤮
check if u have unresolved issues on your claim. log into ur account and look for any messages or alerts. sometimes they need additional info but dont make it obvious

check your mail carefully - sometimes they send a form you can fill out and mail back to request a payment plan. might still take forever for them to process it but at least its an option that doesnt involve the phone hell
worst case scenario: if they do end up sending it to collections, immediately request a payment plan with the collection agency. they're usually much easier to work with than NYSDOL directly (which is sad but true). Just make sure to get everything in writing if it goes that route.
That's good to know but really hoping it doesn't get to that point. Would rather not have it affect my credit if possible.
100% agree - definitely try all the other options first! Just mentioning it as absolute last resort if nothing else works.
