Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. The whole system is ridiculous anyway. They make it so complicated to figure out if you even qualify and then the application process is a joke. I've been fighting with them for weeks over some stupid technicality about my last day of work.
ugh tell me about it... at least they finally got rid of some of the pandemic stuff that was making everything even more confusing

The pandemic programs like PUA and PEUC ended in 2021. Now it's just regular unemployment insurance, but that's what most people qualify for anyway if they had traditional employment.
Just remember you'll need to do the job search requirements now too. I think it's 3 job search activities per week and you have to keep a log. The NYS Department of Labor website has all the details about what counts as a valid job search activity.

ugh the whole system is so confusing!! why can't they just coordinate between programs instead of making us report the same info to everyone separately
Just wanted to add that when you report to SNAP, make sure you have your unemployment award letter from NYS Department of Labor handy. They'll want to see the official documentation showing your weekly benefit amount. Also keep track of any weeks you don't claim unemployment since that will affect your SNAP calculation too.

The NYS Department of Labor is SO BAD at explaining this stuff clearly! I've been on unemployment twice and each time the rules seemed different. Just document everything you earn and when you earned it. Keep copies of all your weekly claim submissions too in case they ask for proof later.
