UI Callback Wait Times - How Long Did You Wait for Unemployment to Call Back?

Hey everyone, I just requested a callback from the unemployment office. Anyone else in the same boat? How long did you have to wait for them to actually call you back? I'm getting anxious just sitting here waiting for my phone to ring.

Yara Nassar

Ugh, I feel your pain. I waited for HOURS last time I requested a callback. It's like they're purposely trying to make this process as frustrating as possible. 🙄

Hours? Consider yourself lucky! I waited TWO WHOLE DAYS for them to call me back. This system is so broken.

Same here! I swear they're understaffed or something. It's ridiculous how long we have to wait for basic assistance.

Wow, I guess I should count my blessings then. This whole situation is just a mess.

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/bDXD2SD0gGk

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

They don't guarantee it, but in my experience, it worked like a charm. You just put in your info, pay, and wait for them to call you when they've got an agent on the line.

I've been trying to get through for weeks now. The callback system is a joke. I'm starting to think they're just ignoring us at this point. 😤

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Be persistent. Keep requesting callbacks. 2. Have all your info ready when they do call. 3. Try calling at off-peak hours if possible. 4. Document everything, including when you requested callbacks. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there, OP. I know it's frustrating, but you'll get through eventually.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling during off-peak hours. Any idea when those might be?

In my experience, early mornings (right when they open) or late afternoons tend to be less busy. Avoid Mondays if you can - thats usually their busiest day.

Has anyone tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes public shaming works wonders...

I tried that once. They just sent me a generic response telling me to use the official channels. Total waste of time.

I heard a rumor that they're updating their system soon to improve callback times. Anyone know if there's any truth to that?

I'll believe it when I see it. They've been promising improvements for years.

Guys, I know its frustrating, but remember the people answering the phones are just doing their jobs. They're probably overwhelmed too. Let's try to be patient with them when we do get through.
