UI Callback Wait Times - How Long Did You Wait for Unemployment to Call Back?
Hey everyone, I just requested a callback from the unemployment office. Anyone else in the same boat? How long did you have to wait for them to actually call you back? I'm getting anxious just sitting here waiting for my phone to ring.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I waited for HOURS last time I requested a callback. It's like they're purposely trying to make this process as frustrating as possible. 🙄

•Hours? Consider yourself lucky! I waited TWO WHOLE DAYS for them to call me back. This system is so broken.

•Same here! I swear they're understaffed or something. It's ridiculous how long we have to wait for basic assistance.

•Wow, I guess I should count my blessings then. This whole situation is just a mess.

Pro tip: I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/bDXD2SD0gGk

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•They don't guarantee it, but in my experience, it worked like a charm. You just put in your info, pay, and wait for them to call you when they've got an agent on the line.

I've been trying to get through for weeks now. The callback system is a joke. I'm starting to think they're just ignoring us at this point. 😤

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Be persistent. Keep requesting callbacks. 2. Have all your info ready when they do call. 3. Try calling at off-peak hours if possible. 4. Document everything, including when you requested callbacks. 5. If all else fails, contact your local representative. They can sometimes help push things through. Hang in there, OP. I know it's frustrating, but you'll get through eventually.

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling during off-peak hours. Any idea when those might be?

•In my experience, early mornings (right when they open) or late afternoons tend to be less busy. Avoid Mondays if you can - thats usually their busiest day.

Has anyone tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes public shaming works wonders...

•I tried that once. They just sent me a generic response telling me to use the official channels. Total waste of time.

I heard a rumor that they're updating their system soon to improve callback times. Anyone know if there's any truth to that?

•I'll believe it when I see it. They've been promising improvements for years.

Guys, I know its frustrating, but remember the people answering the phones are just doing their jobs. They're probably overwhelmed too. Let's try to be patient with them when we do get through.

I'm in the exact same situation right now! Requested a callback yesterday morning and still nothing. The waiting is definitely the worst part - you can't really go anywhere or do anything because you're afraid you'll miss the call. I've been keeping my phone glued to my side all day. Really hoping they get back to us soon because I have some urgent questions about my claim status.

•I totally get that feeling of being tethered to your phone! I'm dealing with the same thing right now - can't even take a proper shower without worrying I'll miss the call. It's so stressful having urgent questions about your claim and just sitting in limbo. Fingers crossed we both hear back soon! 🤞

This is so relatable! I requested a callback three days ago and I'm still waiting. The anxiety of not knowing when they'll call is almost worse than the actual wait time. I've been carrying my phone everywhere - even to the bathroom! 😅 Has anyone had luck with calling first thing in the morning when they open? I'm thinking of trying that tomorrow instead of waiting for this callback that may never come.

•Three days?! That's absolutely ridiculous. I'm starting to think the callback system is just broken at this point. I've heard mixed results about calling first thing in the morning - some people say it works, others say the lines are still jammed. Maybe it's worth a shot though, since waiting for callbacks clearly isn't working for any of us. This whole process is such a nightmare when you're already stressed about unemployment. Hang in there!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Requested my callback 6 hours ago and I'm already going crazy checking my phone every 5 minutes. It's so frustrating when you have bills to pay and need answers about your claim. I've been reading through all these comments and it sounds like we're all in the same boat - this system really needs to be fixed. The stress of waiting on top of already being unemployed is just brutal. Really hoping they get back to you soon, Connor! 🙏

•I completely understand that feeling! I'm also waiting for a callback right now and it's driving me insane. The constant phone checking is so real - I've probably looked at mine about 50 times in the past hour alone. What makes it even worse is not knowing if it'll be today, tomorrow, or next week. At least we're all suffering together in this unemployment callback purgatory! Hope you get through soon, Aisha. This system definitely needs a major overhaul.

I'm right there with you! Just requested a callback this morning and I'm already feeling that familiar anxiety. Based on what everyone's saying here, it sounds like we're in for quite a wait. I've been through this before and ended up waiting almost 36 hours for them to call back. The worst part is you can't really make any plans or go anywhere because you never know when that call might come. I've started keeping a notebook next to my phone with all my questions written down so I don't forget anything when they finally do call. Hang in there - we'll get through this bureaucratic nightmare eventually! 📞😤

•The notebook idea is brilliant! I wish I had thought of that during my first callback experience - I was so nervous when they finally called that I completely blanked on half the questions I wanted to ask. It's crazy how this whole process makes us develop these little survival strategies just to navigate basic government services. The uncertainty really is the worst part - at least if they gave us a realistic timeframe we could plan accordingly. Thanks for sharing that tip, definitely going to start keeping notes ready! 📝

I'm literally in the exact same situation right now! Just submitted my callback request about 2 hours ago and I'm already refreshing my phone constantly. Reading through everyone's experiences here is both comforting (knowing I'm not alone) and terrifying (realizing I might be waiting for days). The anxiety is real - I have so many questions about my claim and bills that can't wait much longer. Has anyone noticed if there are certain times of day when callbacks happen more frequently? I'm trying to figure out if I should expect a call during business hours only or if they sometimes call in the evenings too. This whole system really needs an overhaul! 😰
