Tips for reaching customer service to set up new plan?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to set up a new plan with my service provider and I'm having trouble getting through to customer service. Has anyone else had this issue lately? Any tips on how to actually talk to a real person?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I spent hours on hold last week trying to do the same thing. It's like they don't want our business or something 🙄

•Same here! I swear they make it difficult on purpose. Maybe they're hoping we'll just give up and stick with our current plans? 🤔

•Nah, I think its just understaffing. Everyone's trying to cut costs these days

•Whatever the reason, it suuuucks. I miss the days when you could just walk into a store and talk to someone face-to-face.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through if I'm one of the first callers of the day.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

•Wow, that sounds interesting. How long did it take for them to get through?

•$20 just to talk to customer service? That's ridiculous, we shouldn't have to pay extra for basic support.

•I get it, but for me, time is money. It took about an hour, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. Worth it imo.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at the company can get their attention faster than calling.

•This! I got a response within an hour when I complained on Twitter. It's like they care more about their public image than actually helping customers through official channels 🙄

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this issue multiple times: 1. Use the company's app if they have one. Sometimes you can chat with a rep there. 2. Call during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening). 3. If you get an automated system, try saying 'agent' or 'representative' repeatedly. 4. Keep a record of who you talk to and when. It helps if you need to escalate later. 5. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end is probably dealing with angry customers all day. 6. If all else fails, file a complaint with the FCC or your state's public utility commission. Hope this helps! Good luck getting your plan set up.

•Sometimes I think thats what they want us to do. Keep us on crappy expensive plans or force us to switch. win-win for them 🤡
