PATH Act Hold Question - No Dependents in TX but Still Delayed?

Filed my return in Texas with no dependents but still no DDD. Everyone keeps talking about PATH Act holds but I thought that was just for people claiming kids. My transcript shows processing but no 846 code yet. Been checking WMR daily but still nothing. Getting worried cause I need this money.

The PATH Act doesn't just apply to returns with dependents. It mainly affects returns claiming EITC or ACTC. If you're claiming EITC even without dependents, you could still be under PATH Act review. Check your transcript for cycle code - if it starts with '20' you're weekly, if '05' you're daily.

Yep, you'll update on Thursday nights/Friday mornings. Keep an eye on your transcripts those days

hey guys instead of playing detective with transcripts I started using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. It costs $4.99 but it analyzes everything and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect updates. Way better than guessing tbh https://taxr.ai

100% legit! It spotted issues I didn't even know about and predicted my DDD exactly. Best $5 I ever spent on tax stuff fr fr
