IRS2Go app stuck on 'processing' for 2 years - How to get my refund?
Has anyone else been dealing with the IRS2Go app showing 'processing' for years? I've been trying to get my refund and the app has been stuck on the same status for 2 years now. It's so frustrating! Any advice on how to actually get some answers or move this along?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been stuck in the same boat for over a year now. The IRS is such a mess 🤦♂️ Have you tried calling them directly? It's a nightmare to get through, but sometimes it's the only way to get answers.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I always get the 'high call volume' message and get disconnected. It's like they don't want us to reach them! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have better luck getting through then. Good luck!

Have you checked your tax transcript online? Sometimes that gives more detailed info than the app. You can access it through the IRS website.

•I didn't even know about that! Thanks, I'll definitely check it out. Hopefully it'll give me some more insight.

2 years?! That's insane. The IRS is seriously dropping the ball here. Have you considered reaching out to your local congressperson's office? They sometimes can help push things along with federal agencies.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration!

•$20 seems steep just to talk to someone... but I guess if it actually works, it might be worth it. How long did you have to wait?

•It took about an hour and a half, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than wasting a whole day trying to get through!

Here's what I've learned from my own IRS nightmare: 1. Keep ALL your documentation. Every letter, every transcript, everything. 2. Use the 'Where's My Refund' tool on the IRS website, not just the app. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try faxing your inquiry. Yes, fax. The IRS is stuck in the stone age. 4. Check if you have a local Taxpayer Advocate Service office. They can sometimes help with long delays. 5. Be prepared for a long haul. The IRS is seriously backlogged. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but persistence is key!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try the fax option - didn't even occur to me. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all this!

•Faxing?! What year is it, 1995? 😂 But for real, if it works, it works. The IRS needs to get with the times!

•I haven't, but that's a good point. I'll go over everything again with a fine-tooth comb. Thanks!

This is why I always say, don't count on your refund! The IRS is so unpredictable. Hope you get it sorted soon, OP.
