IRS keeps hanging up - How to get paper check mailed?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The IRS phone system is a nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

Have you tried sending a certified letter? Sometimes that can get their attention and force them to respond.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with the IRS for years: 1. Be persistent. Keep calling, even if you get hung up on. 2. Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon. 3. Have all your info ready before you call. 4. Be polite to the agent when you finally get through. 5. If all else fails, contact your local Taxpayer Advocate Service. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Have you checked your transcript online? Sometimes they update that before sending out notices. Might give you some info on whats going on with your check

This is why we need serious tax reform. The system is broken and it's hurting hardworking Americans. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get our own money back!
