Filed 2/26 - No TurboTax Email or TPG Trace Number Yet?

Anyone with 2/26 filing date still not received the TurboTax email or trace number from TPG? I've been marked as "funded" for days now but nothing in my account. Last year I at least got the email notification before my refund hit. Anyone who filed earlier this week get their direct deposit WITHOUT getting the TT email and trace number first?

Listen, I filed 2/25 and was in the EXACT same boat until yesterday. No TT email, no trace number on TPG, but it showed funded. Called my bank this morning and the deposit hit at 3AM. The notification systems are completely broken this year. Don't waste time checking TPG every hour like I did.

I would say this is probably what's happening. In my experience, TPG's tracking system has been somewhat unreliable this tax season. I filed on 2/24, showed as funded for nearly 3 days with no email, then suddenly the money appeared in my account without any notification whatsoever.

Thanks for sharing that - makes me feel better compared to last year when everything was so predictable. Appreciate knowing others are seeing the same thing with the notifications not working properly.

I was going crazy with this exact problem (filed 2/27). After checking WMR, TPG, and my bank account literally every hour, I finally just called the IRS directly using Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c). The agent confirmed my refund was already processed and sent to my bank 2 days ago! Such a relief to know it wasn't lost. The bank was just holding it for some reason. Saved me days of stress.

Filed 2/25, had the same issue with TPG showing funded but no email and no trace number. My deposit hit this morning at 4:30am. From what I've observed in the refund processing pipeline this year, there's a significant disconnect between TPG's notification system and their actual fund disbursement mechanism. The asynchronous nature of these systems seems to be causing widespread confusion.

OMG I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH THIS!!! Filed 2/26 and TPG shows funded since Monday but NOTHING in my account!!! I was panicking until I used taxr.ai to analyze my transcript and it showed my refund was actually sent! The tool explained that my 846 code with today's date means the money is already moving through the banking system! Now I'm just waiting for my bank to process it. Saved me from a total meltdown honestly.

Tbh I stopped checking TPG completely. Their site is garbage this yr. Instead, just create an IRS acct and check ur transcript directly. Look for code 846 with a date - that's when IRS actually sent ur $$$. TPG is just a middleman and their tracking is way behind. My TPG never updated but $ hit my acct this AM.

I want to clarify something important about this approach - if you filed on 2/26, your transcript might not even show the 846 code until March 8 or 9, even though the money might be moving. The IRS transcript system updates on a specific weekly schedule (usually Thursday night/Friday morning), not in real-time like many assume.

I think I've noticed a pattern with these TurboTax/TPG issues this year... it seems like if you chose to have your filing fees taken out of your refund, the notification system is much less reliable? At least that's what I'm seeing from posts here. I'm wondering if anyone who paid their TurboTax fees upfront is having the same issue?

That's an interesting theory! I actually paid my fees upfront and still had this exact problem. Filed 2/24, showed funded on TPG for 3 days, no email from TT, then boom - money in my account this morning. The whole system seems off this year regardless of how you paid.

According to IRS Publication 1345, which governs authorized e-file providers, the transmission of refund status information is not mandated to follow any specific timeline. TPG is technically compliant even with these delays. I've seen this happen regularly since 2021.

Not true. Paid fees upfront. Still no notifications. Money just appeared. System's broken this year.

I'm curious - has anyone contacted TurboTax directly about this issue? I wonder if they're aware their notification system isn't working properly?

Here's what's actually happening with the 2/26 filers (I work in banking): 1. IRS has sent most 2/26 refunds already 2. TPG receives them in batches 3. TPG's notification system is running behind their processing 4. Most banks hold incoming ACH for 24-48 hours 5. The money is likely already in the banking system Best approach: Check your actual bank account, not TPG. Most 2/26 filers should see deposits by tomorrow morning at the latest.

This is exactly what happened with mine. Filed 2/25, TPG showed funded on 3/5, no email, deposit appeared 3/7 at 3am. Thanks for laying out the actual process - makes perfect sense now.

I think what's happening is like when you order a package online - sometimes the tracking never updates but the package still arrives. TPG is like the tracking system that's broken, but your money is still moving through the system. I'd give it until tomorrow morning before getting too worried. Almost everyone I've seen posting with similar dates has gotten their refund within 48 hours of TPG showing 'funded' even without emails or trace numbers.
