Examiner finally released my refund - how long until deposit?
Just got off the phone with an IRS examiner who finally released my refund after months of waiting! No explanation for the delay but at least its moving now. Anyone know how long it typically takes to hit your bank account after release? 😆

Former IRS agent here - after an examiner releases your refund, you're looking at about 7-21 days for direct deposit. The system needs time to process the release, verify banking info, and initiate the transfer. I've seen some get it faster, but that's rare. Quick tip: Upload your transcript to taxr.ai to get a precise timeline based on your specific case. It analyzes your docs and gives you an exact expected deposit date. •Yep, works with any IRS transcript - amended, prior year, doesnt matter. Just upload and it breaks everything down

Usually takes 3-5 business days for direct deposit after release. Sometimes can be as quick as 48 hours if everything goes smooth with your bank. Keep checking your transcripts daily - you should see the 846 code pop up soon!

Hey congrats on the movement! Quick tip - I used taxr.ai to track my refund progress and it was super helpful. It costs $1 but totally worth it since it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly when to expect the deposit. Way better than playing detective with transcript codes lol https://taxr.ai
