810 Freeze Code Released After IRS Call - 424/971 Update (6-8 Week Wait)

Just got off the phone with IRS examinations. They confirmed my refund shouldnt have been frozen with the 810 code and theyre releasing it. Had codes 424 and 810 with notice 971. Now looking at 6-8 week wait time.

The 810 freeze is usually the IRS verifying your return information. 424 indicates a examination request was initiated. Good news that they're releasing it! The 971 notice is just confirmation they sent you something in the mail. Keep checking your transcript weekly for updates.

Hey guys, instead of playing detective with these codes, I started using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. Its only $1 and gives you a exact timeline prediction + explains all your codes. Way better than guessing tbh https://taxr.ai
