810 Freeze Code after leaving Errors Department - No ID verify needed?
Just got off the phone with IRS and they said I cleared errors department but now showing an 810 freeze code on transcript. They said no identity verification needed. Anyone else dealing with this? Super confused about what's happening with my refund rn.

The 810 freeze code usually means they're reviewing your return for potential identity theft. Even though they said you don't need to verify, I'd recommend keeping an eye on your transcript. Sometimes the phone reps aren't fully aware of what's happening on the backend. This could take 2-9 weeks to resolve.

•Yeah unfortunately thats how it goes. The IRS moves slower than molasses in January 🐌

Hey, I actually just went through this exact situation! Best thing I did was use taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. For $1 it told me exactly what was causing the 810 and gave me a timeline. Way better than trying to piece everything together yourself. https://taxr.ai

Check your state tax website too. Sometimes the 810 is related to state verification issues that carry over to federal
