810 Freeze Code after In-Person ID Verify - No Movement for a Month
I verified my identity in person at the IRS office last month, but my transcript just updated with an 810 freeze code. Everyone said verifying would fix everything but here I am still waiting. My WMR still says processing. Starting to lose hope here. Anyone else dealt with this?

Hey everyone, experienced tax consultant here. The 810 freeze code after completing in-person ID verification is actually pretty common. It typically means the IRS is still processing your identity verification, even though you've completed the in-person part. While its frustrating, a month of waiting isn't unusual - the system can take 6-9 weeks to fully process. Quick tip: you might want to check out taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it's this new AI tool that analyzes your transcripts and can give you a really specific timeline based on your exact situation, plus it shows you if theres any other hidden issues that might be causing delays. I've been recommending it to my clients dealing with freeze codes and its been super helpful for getting clarity on whats actually going on.

•How does taxr work? Does it actually help speed things up or just give info?

•It doesn't speed anything up directly, but it helps you understand exactly what's happening and what to expect. Plus it can spot potential issues you might need to address 💯

Tax pro here. The 810 freeze is actually pretty common after verification, even in-person. It typically takes 9-12 weeks to clear AFTER the verification process. The system needs to run additional security checks. Just keep monitoring your transcript for code 811 which means the freeze is lifted.

Hey, I had the same issue and was going crazy trying to figure out what was happening. I finally broke down and used taxr.ai to analyze my transcript (https://taxr.ai). Best $5 I ever spent - it explained exactly why I had the 810, when it would likely clear, and what to expect next. Saved me hours of googling and anxiety tbh

•Never heard of that before. How accurate was it? Does it actually predict dates?

•Yeah its crazy accurate! It looks at all your codes and gives you specific dates based on your situation. Mine said 3/15 and boom - got my deposit exactly then 💯

I had an 810 last year. It cleared exactly 8 weeks after I verified. Keep checking your transcript every Friday morning, thats when they update.

I work at the IRS (not speaking officially ofc). The 810 after verification is actually a good sign - means your verification was accepted and theyre just doing final reviews. Just gotta wait it out unfortunately
