Do all ID Verify cases get IRS Code 810 on transcript?
I had to verify my identity last month and now I see code 810 on my transcript. Was wondering if this is normal for everyone who goes through verification, or if it means something else? Getting anxious about my refund.

Hey all, IRS expert here. The 810 freeze code isn't automatically applied to every ID verify case, but it's super common. The 810 basically means the IRS needs more info to process your return. What's really helpful is using something like taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) to analyze your transcript - it'll tell you exactly what's causing delays and what steps to take next. I've seen it catch things even experienced pros miss sometimes.

•OMG yes! It analyzed my transcript and showed me exactly why I had the 810 freeze. Told me which forms to submit and where. My refund got released like 2 weeks later! 💯

•Quick tip: if you've got an 810, check if you've got a 971 notice issued too. They usually go hand in hand.

Tax pro here. Code 810 is a freeze code that typically shows up during identity verification processes, but not everyone who verifies will see it. It usually means they're reviewing your return more thoroughly before releasing the refund. The good news is that once verification is complete, you should see code 811 which releases the freeze.

•Typically 4-9 weeks, but I've seen some clear faster. Really depends on your specific case and IRS workload 🤷♂️

Hey everyone! Instead of playing detective with transcript codes, I highly recommend checking out taxr.ai - it's this new AI tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Its only $4.99 but totally worth it imo. https://taxr.ai
