Credit Karma Tax through TurboTax - Anyone received their refund yet?

Has anyone filed using Credit Karma through TurboTax and received their refund yet? My account shows it should be deposited by 2/24/25, but nothing's there yet. I checked my bank account at 12:01 AM, 6:30 AM, and again at noon today. I triple-checked all my banking details when filing (on 2/1/25) to make sure there wouldn't be any issues with deposit. I'm caring for my mom right now and was counting on this timing to pay for her medication refills this weekend... just wondering if others are in the same boat or if I should be concerned?

Have you checked your tax transcript on the IRS website? Sometimes the estimated date from tax prep software isn't perfectly aligned with what the IRS actually has in their system. Also, did you file with any credits that might delay processing? Banks can sometimes hold deposits for 1-2 business days as well, especially if it falls on a weekend.

I've seen this happen before too. Last year my Credit Karma refund was scheduled for a Thursday but didn't show until the following Monday. The IRS had actually sent it on time, but my bank held it.

This is way worse than when I used H&R Block. They gave me an exact date and it showed up precisely then. I'm in a similar situation needing to pay bills and this uncertainty is killing me. Maybe it's just a Credit Karma thing? My cousin used TaxAct and got hers in 8 days flat.

Thank you for mentioning the transcript check. According to IRS Publication 2043, refunds can take up to 21 days from acceptance, though most are processed faster. I'm going to check my transcript now to confirm if it's been issued. Would appreciate knowing if that's the most reliable indicator?

I used Credit Karma through TurboTax this year and last year. Isn't it interesting how the estimated dates are always so precise yet the actual deposits seem to follow their own schedule? My WMR showed 2/22 as my deposit date but it actually hit my account on 2/23. No explanation, just a day late. Have you considered that weekend processing might be affecting yours? Banks don't typically post deposits on weekends, so a Friday IRS release might not show until Monday or Tuesday.

I filed through Credit Karma on January 29th at 9:15 AM and received my refund exactly 16 days later on February 14th. My experience has been that Credit Karma's estimated dates are usually off by 1-3 days. For reference, my refund was $3,427 and included both standard deductions and child tax credits. If your date was 2/24 and that was a weekend day, I'd expect to see it by 2/26 at the latest. The IRS batch processing typically completes by 6:00 AM Eastern Time, so most banks will post the deposit that same day if it's a business day.

I'm in a similar situation with my first time using Credit Karma Tax. My DDD (Direct Deposit Date) was supposed to be today but nothing's showing in my account. I tried calling the IRS to verify the status but couldn't get through after waiting 37 minutes. Then someone told me about Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) which got me connected to an actual IRS agent in about 15 minutes! The agent confirmed my refund was actually sent out yesterday and should post to my account by tomorrow. Might be worth trying if you're worried about your caregiver expenses.

Anyone else notice how these tax prep services are getting worse about predicting deposit dates? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I remember when I could actually count on these dates! Last year my Credit Karma refund was supposedly coming on a Tuesday... didn't show up until Friday. Have you checked the Where's My Refund tool directly? Sometimes that's more accurate than what the tax prep software says, right?

I've used Credit Karma through TurboTax for the past three years. Last year I had almost the exact same experience as you. My expected deposit date was February 18th, but it didn't show up until the 21st. What happened was that the IRS did actually send it on the 18th, but my bank (Chase) held it for processing. I called Chase and they explained that IRS refunds sometimes get flagged for an additional verification period of 1-2 business days, especially if it's a larger amount than you typically receive in deposits. This year I switched to direct deposit to my credit union instead and got it right on the expected date.

Tax refund timing is like waiting for a bus in the rain - the schedule says it should be here, but you're still standing there getting wet! I filed through Credit Karma on January 25th and my expected date was February 15th. It actually arrived on February 16th, which wasn't bad. The IRS is like a massive ocean liner - it takes time to change direction or speed up. If your expected date was just yesterday (2/24) and that was a weekend, I'd give it until Wednesday before getting concerned. The banking system is like a series of locks on a canal - each one takes time to process the flow of money.

I received my Credit Karma refund yesterday, exactly on the date they promised. Filed on February 1st, received on February 24th. No delays, no issues. Check your bank account again tomorrow morning. If it doesn't arrive by Wednesday, call the IRS directly. Don't wait longer than that - if there's an issue with your banking information, you want to correct it immediately.
