Credit Karma Early Direct Deposit - Actual Experiences? Anyone getting IRS refund earlier than expected?
Been with Credit Karma for over a year now and they keep saying we get deposits 2 days early but I havent seen it happen once. Anyone actually getting their tax refunds or other deposits early with them? Starting to feel like its just marketing hype.

Financial advisor here - Early deposit features typically only work with regular payroll deposits that have predictable ACH timing. Tax refunds are different because the IRS doesn't process them like normal direct deposits. They send them in batches on specific days, so the 'early' feature usually doesn't apply to tax refunds.

The whole early deposit thing with these fintech banks is basically just marketing. They all do the same thing - release the funds when they get the actual transfer from ACH. Some might be a bit faster at processing but were talking hours not days usually.
