Won EDD appeal but only paid for 1 week - how to get rest of payments?
I won my unemployment appeal last week but I've only been paid for one week. The payment I received was for the week ending 10/26, and I haven't worked since then. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do to get the rest of my payments?

Congrats on winning your appeal! 🎉 But yeah, the payment situation sucks. Here's what you should do: 1. Gather all your documents - appeal decision, payment history, etc. 2. Call EDD and explain that you won your appeal but only got paid for one week. 3. Ask them to check why other weeks haven't been processed. 4. Take notes during the call and follow up on any instructions they give you. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: be prepared to wait on hold for HOURS. EDD's phone system is a nightmare 😫

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes payments show up there before they hit your bank account. Also, make sure all your certifications are up to date.

•Yeah, I've been checking my account daily. No updates there either. All my certifications are done too. It's so frustrating!

•Ugh, that sucks. Sounds like you'll have to brave the EDD phone lines then. Sending you patience and good vibes! 🙏

This happened to me too! Turns out they had to manually adjust my claim after the appeal. Took about 3 weeks and several phone calls, but I eventually got all my backpay. Hang in there!

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•Wait, we gotta PAY to talk to EDD now? This system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. I'd rather pay $20 than waste a whole day on hold.

Have you tried contacting your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.

•I hadn't thought of that! How do I find my assembly member?

•Just google "find my california assembly member" and enter your address. They usually have a form on their website for EDD issues.
