Missing back pay for weeks after waiting week - New York Unemployment
My unemployment claim got approved but I'm missing payments. Had my waiting week on Feb 4, but haven't gotten any payments for the next two weeks. First regular payment finally came through for Feb 25. Anyone know if I should be getting backpay for those missing weeks between the waiting week and first payment?

Yes, you should definitely be getting those weeks! Log into your account and check if those weeks show as claimed. Sometimes they get stuck in the system and you need to call to have them released 😤

I found a way to actually get through to someone! Used claimyr.com - it costs $20 but they call and wait on hold, then connect you when a rep picks up. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•not sketchy at all! saved me hours of calling. totally worth the $20 vs sitting on hold all day

This is a really common issue with ny unemployment rn. After the waiting week, you should get paid for every week you certified. The system is just trash 🤮

Look, here's what you need to do to get this fixed: First, screenshot your payment history and save all your certification confirmations. Then you need to contact them ASAP. Best times to call are right when they open or an hour before closing. Use claimyr.com if you keep striking out - they'll wait on hold for you. Once you get through, explain that you've been certifying but payments aren't showing up after your waiting week. They'll need to manually release those payments. Don't take no for an answer - you're entitled to those weeks! Make sure to have your paperwork ready when you call. Document everything including who you talked to and when.
