SDI claim issues: EDD couldn't help, need to contact SDI directly. Any tips?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI claim. I called EDD but they couldn't help me. They said I need to contact SDI directly at 800-480-3287. Has anyone else had this issue? Any tips on getting through to the right department?

I found a way to solve SDI claim contact difficulties, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNp93U3KD7k

Ugh, I feel your pain. The whole system is a mess. I've been trying to get through to SDI for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get help. šŸ¤¬

Preach! šŸ™Œ I swear they change the phone menu options every other day just to confuse us.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried everything. Early morning, late afternoon, even during lunch. No luck. It's like trying to win the lottery at this point. šŸŽ°

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to do anything. The service called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with SDI for months: ā€¢ Always have your claim number ready ā€¢ Keep a log of every call you make (date, time, who you spoke to) ā€¢ Be persistent and don't give up ā€¢ If possible, try to handle things online through their portal ā€¢ If you must call, try different times of the day ā€¢ Be polite but firm with the representatives Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. šŸ’Ŗ

Great advice! I'd add: make sure you have all your documents organized before you call. It saves time and stress.

am i the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get our benefits? like, we paid into this system, right? šŸ¤”

Nope, you're not alone. It's a total clown show. šŸ¤” The system is broken and nobody seems to care about fixing it.

I hear ya. But what can we do? It's not like we can just march into their office and demand help... or can we? šŸ‘€

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about this? Maybe if enough of us complain, they'll do something to improve the system.

Pro tip: if you get through to someone but they can't help, ask them to transfer you directly to the SDI department instead of hanging up and calling again. Sometimes they can do an internal transfer that bypasses the main menu. šŸ§
