EDD SDI Claim: Can't Reach Anyone on Phone - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD SDI claim. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone for days now. Anyone else in the same boat or have any tips on how to actually reach a human being? This is getting really frustrating!

I found a way to solve EDD SDI claim phone issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgLX0XaeUJM

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone. 🤬

Same here! I've tried calling at different times of the day, but no luck. It's like playing the lottery.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that too. Still no luck. This whole system is a joke.

I actually found a method that works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, paying to talk to a government agency? Seems sketchy.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! You just go to their website, choose the EDD line you need, pay, and they start calling. When they get a real person, your phone rings. No guarantee, but it worked for me first try.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning or late afternoon can be better. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible for simple issues. 4. If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Names, dates, what was said. 6. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

This is gold! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm definitely gonna try calling in the afternoon tomorrow.

Great advice! I'd add: have all your info ready before you call. Nothing worse than finally getting through and realizing you're missing something important.

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄

OMG YES! It's like they know exactly when I'm gonna try to log in. So frustrating!

Pro tip: Try using it late at night or very early in the morning. Less traffic on the site.

I'm starting to think its easier to just give up on my claim then to deal with this mess. Anyone else feel the same?

Don't give up! I know it's tough, but you're entitled to those benefits. Keep pushing!

Felt the same way last month, but I finally got through. Don't let them win by giving up!

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a difference between calling the main EDD number vs the SDI specific number? I've been using the main one but wondering if I should switch it up.

LPT: If you have a complex issue, try reaching out to your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help navigate EDD issues. Worked for me when I was at my wits end!

This is actually brilliant advice. My cousin did this and got her issue resolved in a week after months of nothing.

How do you even find out who your local rep is? 🤔

Just Google "[your city] state representative". Most have websites with contact info for constituent services.
