Missed EDD phone interview - how to reschedule and settle my case ASAP?
Hey everyone, I messed up and missed my phone interview for unemployment. I really need to get this sorted out and answer their questions. Has anyone been in this situation before? What should I do to get my case settled? I'm worried about losing my benefits.

Ugh, been there done that. First thing you gotta do is call them ASAP and explain why you missed it. Be ready with a good reason and any proof you might have. They might reschedule you if youre lucky.

•This 👆 Call them right away and be super apologetic. Sometimes they can be understanding if you have a legit reason.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Thats a rip-off. The service should be free!

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•They dont guarantee it, but it worked for me on the first try. You just put in your number and they call you when they get an agent. Simple as that.

Listen up, heres what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down why you missed the call, the date, time, everything. 2. Call them first thing in the morning, right when they open. Keep trying if you dont get through. 3. Be polite but firm. Explain your situation clearly. 4. Ask for a reschedule ASAP. Stress that you're available anytime. 5. If they give you a hard time, ask to speak to a supervisor. 6. While youre waiting, gather any documents they might need for your case. 7. Check your online account regularly for updates or messages. 8. If all else fails, contact your local representatives office. They can sometimes help push things along. Good luck, and don't give up! The system is a mess, but persistence pays off.

•Contacting your rep is underrated. They helped me break through the bureaucracy when I was stuck for months.

Quick question - how long ago was your interview supposed to be? If it's been more than a week, you might need to file an appeal instead of just trying to reschedule.

Pro tip: If you cant get through on the main line, try calling some of the other departments. Sometimes they can transfer you to the right person. I got lucky with the tech support line once lol

Anybody else feel like they need a degree in bureaucracy just to navigate this stuff? I swear, dealing with unemployment has been harder than any job I've ever had 🤣🤦♂️
