Having trouble contacting Money Network for EDD debit card issues - any direct numbers?
I've been trying to reach Money Network for 2 days about my EDD payments not showing up on my card. The number on the back of the card (1-866-692-9374) just keeps sending me through endless automated menus without letting me talk to a real person. I've already waited on hold for over an hour yesterday before getting disconnected. Does anyone know if there's a better direct number to reach an actual human at Money Network? Or any tricks to get through the phone tree faster? My rent is due next week and I'm getting really stressed about accessing these funds that should be on my card.

•Thanks for the tip! Did you have to wait long once you got through at 8am? I'll try the zero button trick too.

Money Network is notoriously difficult to reach. I've found success by calling 866-692-9374 and immediately pressing 1, then 1 again, then 3, then 0 repeatedly until it connects you with someone. Another option is to go through EDD directly at 1-800-300-5616 and explain you're having Money Network card issues - sometimes they can transfer you to a direct line. If you're really stuck, check if your balance is showing up in the Money Network mobile app - occasionally the funds appear there before they're accessible on the card.

•I didn't know about that specific number sequence - I'll definitely try that! And I didn't realize EDD might be able to transfer me directly. That's super helpful, thank you!

Have you tried the Money Network mobile app or their website at www.moneynetwork.com? Sometimes you can resolve card issues through their online portal without calling. You can check your balance, transaction history, and even report problems. If you do need to call, try 1-866-692-9374 and then press 0# repeatedly when the automated system starts talking. This sometimes bypasses the menu and gets you to a representative faster. When did your EDD payment get processed? It usually takes 24-48 hours after EDD processes your payment before it shows up on your card.

•I tried the website but it shows my payment as "pending" even though EDD says it was processed 3 days ago. That's why I'm trying to figure out what's happening. I'll try the 0# trick too. Thanks!

MONEY NETWORK IS THE WORST!!! I had to call 14 TIMES last month before getting a human!!! They don't care about us at all and make it impossible to reach them!!! Try early morning but honestly its just luck. The system is designed to frustrate us so we give up!!!

•That's exactly how I feel right now! 14 times is ridiculous. Did you ever get your issue resolved once you finally reached someone?

I went through this exact situation in March. After days of frustration trying to reach Money Network, I used Claimyr to get through to EDD (https://claimyr.com). Their service connected me to an EDD agent who was able to transfer me directly to a Money Network specialist line that regular callers can't access. Saved me so much time and stress! You can see how it works in their video: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km The EDD agent explained that sometimes payment flags require manual review on the Money Network side, which was causing my delay. Once I got transferred to their specialist, they fixed it in about 10 minutes.

Did u try the website? sometimes easier than calling. Also there shud be an email contact form somwhere on their site. Might take longer but at least u don't have to sit on hold all day lol

•I tried the website but my issue seems too complicated for their online tools. I'll look for the email form though - even if it's slower, at least it's something. Thanks!

I've had success with Money Network by calling at odd hours - try around 10:30am or 2:45pm when call volume is lower. Also, if you have a Bank of America branch nearby, they sometimes can help with EDD card issues even though Money Network took over the contract. It's worth asking if you're really stuck. When you do get through, make sure to ask them about setting up direct deposit for future payments. You can have your EDD funds go straight to your personal bank account instead of dealing with the Money Network card. I switched to direct deposit last year and it's been so much more reliable.

•That's a great tip about calling at odd hours - I'll try that tomorrow. And I had no idea BofA might be able to help! I'll definitely look into setting up direct deposit once I get this current payment issue resolved. Anything to avoid dealing with this card problem again.

Just checking back - were you able to get through to Money Network with any of these suggestions? If not, you might want to consider filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). They regulate these prepaid card issuers and a complaint there sometimes gets much faster attention from Money Network.

•I finally got through this morning! Used the 0# trick and called right at 8am. Had to wait about 25 minutes on hold, but eventually spoke with someone who fixed the issue. Apparently there was a "security hold" on my payment that needed manual review. Thanks everyone for all your help and suggestions!

•That's awesome news! So glad you were able to get through and get it resolved. The security hold thing makes sense - I've heard that happening to other people too. Thanks for updating us on what worked, this will definitely help others who run into the same issue!

Great to hear you got it resolved! For anyone else dealing with similar issues, I'd also suggest checking if your local EDD office has walk-in hours. Sometimes they can help troubleshoot card issues in person or make direct calls to Money Network on your behalf. I know it's not always convenient, but when you're dealing with urgent payment access like rent being due, having that face-to-face option can be really helpful. Also keep documentation of any delays or issues - if this happens again, having a record of previous problems can help expedite resolution.

•That's really good advice about the local EDD office! I didn't even think about going in person. Having someone from EDD call Money Network directly would probably carry more weight than me calling as an individual. And you're absolutely right about keeping documentation - I'm going to start taking screenshots of payment dates and any error messages I get. This whole experience has been such a learning curve about navigating these systems.

I'm dealing with the exact same issue right now! My EDD payment was supposed to be on my card 2 days ago and Money Network's phone system is a nightmare. I've been calling that 866 number and getting nowhere - it's like they designed it to be impossible to reach a human. Reading through all these responses is actually really helpful though. I'm going to try calling at exactly 8am tomorrow with the 0# trick, and if that doesn't work I'll look into that Claimyr service someone mentioned. It's so frustrating that we have to jump through all these hoops just to access our own money!

•I feel your frustration! I went through this exact same nightmare a few months ago. The 8am trick really does work - I had to try for 3 days straight but finally got through on the third attempt. Make sure you have your card and social security number ready because they'll ask for verification right away. Also, if the 0# trick doesn't work, try pressing 1-1-3-0 repeatedly like someone mentioned earlier. And definitely keep notes of every call attempt with dates and times - if you end up having to escalate this, that documentation becomes really important. Hang in there, you'll get through eventually!

I just went through this same frustrating experience last week! What finally worked for me was calling the Money Network number (1-866-692-9374) at exactly 7:59am and then immediately pressing 1-1-0-0 as soon as the automated message started. I had to redial about 6 times but eventually got connected to someone within 15 minutes. Another tip - when you do get through, ask them to put a note on your account about the delay so if it happens again, they can reference the previous issue. Also, they can send you a text alert when future payments are loaded onto your card, which has been super helpful for me to know exactly when funds are available. If you're still having trouble after a few days, you can also try contacting your local state assembly member's office - they sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help escalate payment issues. Good luck!

•That's a really smart tip about asking them to put a note on the account! I never would have thought of that but it makes total sense - having that documentation could save so much time if this happens again. The text alert feature sounds super useful too. I'm definitely going to ask about both of those things when I finally get through. And wow, I had no idea about contacting a state assembly member's office - that's actually brilliant for when you really need to escalate things. Thanks for sharing what worked for you!

I've been following this thread and wanted to share another option that worked for me recently. If you have the Money Network mobile app, try using the "Contact Us" feature within the app itself - sometimes this connects you to chat support faster than calling. I was able to resolve a similar payment delay issue through their in-app chat in about 30 minutes instead of spending hours on the phone. Also, for future reference, Money Network has a Twitter account (@MoneyNetworkCS) where they respond to customer service issues. While it's not ideal for urgent situations, they do monitor it and can sometimes escalate your case if you tweet about persistent problems with your account number. The key thing I learned is to always get a reference number for any issue you report - whether by phone, chat, or online. That way if you have to call back, you can reference the previous case and avoid starting from scratch each time.

•That's really helpful about the mobile app chat feature - I didn't even know that was an option! I always just tried calling. And the Twitter tip is smart too, though like you said probably better for non-urgent stuff. Getting a reference number is such good advice - I've definitely had to start over multiple times when calling different agencies because I didn't have any kind of case number to reference. It's crazy how many different ways there are to contact them that most people (including me) don't even know about. Thanks for sharing these alternatives!

•This is such valuable information! I had no idea about the in-app chat feature - I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get through on the phone when there might have been easier options available. The Twitter angle is interesting too, especially since social media complaints sometimes get faster responses because they're public. I'm definitely going to download the app and try the chat feature first next time I have an issue. And you're absolutely right about getting reference numbers - I learned that the hard way after having to explain my situation from scratch multiple times to different representatives. Thanks for taking the time to share these tips!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm currently dealing with the exact same Money Network nightmare - my EDD payment has been "processing" for 4 days now and I can't get through to anyone. Reading through everyone's experiences and solutions has been incredibly helpful. I'm going to try the 8am calling strategy tomorrow with the button sequence tricks, and if that doesn't work I'll definitely look into the mobile app chat feature that @Nia Wilson mentioned - I had no idea that even existed! It's honestly ridiculous that we have to become experts in navigating these systems just to access our own unemployment benefits, but I really appreciate everyone sharing what actually worked for them. Will update if I have any success with these methods!

•I hope some of these strategies work for you! The combination of calling right at 8am and using those button sequences seems to be the most successful approach based on everyone's experiences here. Definitely try the mobile app chat too - it's worth having multiple options since their phone system is so unreliable. Four days of "processing" is way too long, especially when you need access to those funds. Keep us posted on what ends up working! And don't give up - it sounds like persistence really pays off with Money Network, even though it's incredibly frustrating that we have to work so hard just to reach them.

This thread has been incredibly helpful! I'm dealing with a similar Money Network delay right now - payment shows as processed by EDD but still not available on my card after 3 days. I've tried calling the main number multiple times but keep getting stuck in the automated system. Based on everyone's advice here, I'm going to try calling exactly at 8am tomorrow with the 0# trick and the 1-1-3-0 button sequence. If that doesn't work, I'll definitely check out the mobile app chat feature - had no idea that was even an option! It's frustrating that accessing our own benefits requires becoming an expert in these workarounds, but I really appreciate everyone sharing their real experiences and what actually worked. Will report back if I have success with any of these methods!

•Good luck with those strategies tomorrow! The 8am calling approach really seems to be the most effective based on what everyone's shared here. Make sure you have all your info ready before you call - card number, SSN, etc. - since they verify right away when you do get through. The mobile app chat is definitely worth trying as a backup option too. Three days is way too long for a processed payment to not show up on your card. If the standard methods don't work, you might also want to consider that CFPB complaint route that @Miguel Harvey mentioned earlier - sometimes external pressure helps get these issues escalated faster. Keep us updated on what works for you!

I've been lurking on this thread for a while and finally decided to join because I'm going through the exact same frustrating situation right now! My EDD payment was processed 5 days ago but still nothing on my Money Network card. I've tried calling that 866 number probably 15 times and either get disconnected or stuck in endless hold loops. Reading through all these suggestions has given me hope though - I had no idea about calling right at 8am or the specific button sequences people have shared. I'm definitely going to try the 0# trick and that 1-1-3-0 sequence tomorrow morning. The mobile app chat feature @Nia Wilson mentioned sounds promising too since I've been focusing only on phone calls. It's honestly insane that we have to become detectives just to access our own unemployment benefits, but I'm grateful for everyone sharing their real experiences and what actually worked. This community support means a lot when you're dealing with these systems that seem designed to frustrate us into giving up. I'll update everyone if any of these methods work for me!

•Welcome to the thread! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this - 5 days is absolutely ridiculous for a processed payment to not show up. You're definitely not alone in this frustration! The strategies everyone has shared here really do seem to work based on all the success stories. I'd definitely recommend trying multiple approaches - the 8am calling with those button sequences, plus the mobile app chat as a backup. Also make sure to document everything with dates and times in case you need to escalate later. The fact that we all have to become experts in these workarounds just to access our own money is infuriating, but at least we can help each other navigate it. Really hope one of these methods works for you tomorrow - keep us posted!

•Five days is absolutely unacceptable for a processed payment! I went through something similar a few months ago and the combination of calling at 8am sharp plus the button sequences really does work - just be prepared to try for several days in a row. What helped me stay motivated was setting up multiple backup plans. Download that Money Network app tonight so you can try the chat feature if the phone calls don't work out. Also, if you're on Twitter, don't hesitate to tweet at @MoneyNetworkCS with your account details - public complaints sometimes get faster attention. And definitely keep a log of every attempt with timestamps - if you end up needing to file a CFPB complaint or contact your assembly member's office, that documentation becomes crucial. You've got this! The persistence pays off even though it shouldn't have to be this hard.

I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! My EDD payment was processed 3 days ago but my Money Network card still shows zero balance. I've called that 866 number at least 10 times and keep getting trapped in their horrible automated system. Based on all the great advice in this thread, I'm planning to call tomorrow at exactly 8:00 AM using the 0# trick and that 1-1-3-0 button sequence. I also just downloaded the Money Network app to try their chat feature as a backup - had no clue that was even available! It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to become customer service ninjas just to access our own unemployment benefits. The stress of not being able to reach your money when bills are due is just awful. Thank you to everyone who shared what actually worked for them - this thread is honestly more helpful than any official support from Money Network or EDD. I'll definitely update with my results and hopefully add another success story to help the next person dealing with this mess!

•I'm so sorry you're going through this too! Three days is way too long for a processed payment to not show up. The strategies everyone has shared here really do seem to work though - I've seen so many success stories in this thread using those exact methods. The 8am calling approach combined with those button sequences seems to be the most reliable way to actually reach a human. And having the mobile app as a backup is smart - that chat feature has helped several people here when phone calls failed. It really is insane that we have to jump through all these hoops just to access our own money, especially when bills are due and the stress is mounting. This thread has been a lifesaver for so many people though. Definitely keep us posted on how it goes tomorrow - fingers crossed you'll be another success story! And don't get discouraged if it takes a few attempts, persistence really seems to be key with Money Network.

I've been dealing with Money Network issues on and off for months now and wanted to share a few additional tips that have helped me. First, if you're calling and get disconnected after waiting on hold, try calling back immediately - sometimes you'll get put in a priority queue for callbacks. Also, I've found that calling on weekdays between 10-11 AM can sometimes be less busy than the 8 AM rush everyone talks about. One thing that really helped me was setting up account alerts through their website. You can get text notifications when payments are loaded, which helps you know immediately if there's a delay. And if you do get through to someone, ask them to email you a summary of your call and any reference numbers - I've had reps promise to fix things and then nothing happens, so having written confirmation helps when you have to call back. For anyone still struggling, don't give up! I know it's incredibly stressful when you need access to your funds, but the persistence really does pay off. This thread has been amazing for sharing real solutions that actually work.

•These are really excellent additional tips! I hadn't thought about calling back immediately after getting disconnected - that priority queue thing could be a game changer. And the 10-11 AM window is interesting since everyone always talks about calling right at 8 AM. Having multiple time slots to try gives more options. The account alerts feature sounds super useful too - knowing immediately when there's a delay would save so much stress and wondering. And wow, asking for email confirmation is brilliant! I've definitely had situations with other customer service where reps said they'd fix something and then nothing happened. Having that paper trail would be so helpful for follow-up calls. Thanks for sharing these insights from your experience - it's clear you've learned a lot of hard-won lessons dealing with their system over the months!

I'm so glad I found this thread! I've been dealing with Money Network issues for weeks now and was starting to think I was the only one having these problems. Reading through everyone's experiences and solutions has been incredibly helpful - it's clear that their customer service system is deliberately designed to be difficult to navigate. One thing I wanted to add that hasn't been mentioned yet is to check your state's Department of Consumer Affairs or similar agency. In some states, they have specific complaint processes for prepaid card issues that can get escalated faster than going through federal agencies. I filed a complaint with my state's consumer protection office and got a response from Money Network within 48 hours after weeks of trying to reach them through normal channels. Also, if you're having recurring issues, consider asking EDD about switching to direct deposit entirely. I know some people have mentioned this, but it really is worth pursuing - once you're set up with direct deposit, you completely bypass the Money Network card system and get your payments straight to your bank account. The setup process can take a few weeks, but it's so much more reliable long-term. Thanks to everyone who shared their strategies - this community support makes such a difference when dealing with these frustrating systems!

•That's a fantastic tip about the state Department of Consumer Affairs! I had no idea that was an option and it makes total sense that state-level complaints might get faster attention than federal ones. Getting a response in 48 hours after weeks of frustration is amazing - definitely worth knowing about for anyone who's exhausted the other options. And you're absolutely right about direct deposit being the long-term solution. I've been thinking about making that switch after reading everyone's experiences here. Even if the setup takes a few weeks, avoiding this Money Network nightmare entirely would be worth it. It's incredible how much we have to learn about navigating these systems just to access our own benefits, but sharing these insights really does help everyone. Thanks for adding another valuable strategy to the toolkit!
