EDD Money Network card still not arrived after 5 certifications - who to call?

I'm at my wits' end trying to figure out where my EDD debit card is. I've certified 5 times already (all approved!) and haven't received my Money Network card in the mail. My claim status shows 'paid' for each week, but I can't access any of my benefits without the card. I called the main EDD number but got disconnected after waiting 2 hours. Is there a specific number to track the Money Network card? This is getting ridiculous - I have rent due next week and was counting on these payments. Any advice on who to contact about my missing card would be appreciated!

You need to call the Money Network directly at 1-866-692-9374 (866-MNYNETW). That's the bank that handles the EDD debit cards, not EDD itself. They can tell you if your card was issued, when it was mailed, and can expedite a replacement if needed. Usually takes 7-10 business days to arrive after your first payment is processed, but with mail delays it's been taking longer for some people.

Thank you!! I had no idea there was a separate number for the card itself. Will call them first thing tomorrow morning. Do you know if they can tell me exactly where my card is in the mail system?

OMG SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!! waited like 6 weeks for that stupid card and turns out they mailed it to my old address even tho I updated my info with EDD. When you call make sure you verify your mailing address is correct!!! The EDD system and the Money Network system DON'T ALWAYS SYNC UP properly... typical government nonsense.

Oh no, I did move recently! I updated my address with EDD when I filed my claim, but now I'm worried. Thanks for the heads up - I'll definitely verify my address when I call.

Money Network has a website too where you can check if your card has been issued and mailed. Go to www.moneynetwork.com and register your account. You'll need some personal info but NOT the card number (since you don't have it yet). The site will show if the card was issued and when. If it's been more than 10 business days since issuance, you can request a replacement through the website too, which is often faster than calling.

this is wrong info btw. its not moneynetwork.com its www.bankofamerica.com/eddcard/ where u go to check EDD cards. they changed the provider in 2025.

No, you're confusing the old system with the new one. Bank of America handled EDD cards until 2024, but California switched to Money Network in early 2025. You can verify this on the EDD website under payment methods. The correct site is actually www.moneynetwork.com/eddcard (I left off the /eddcard part in my original response).

Have you tried setting up direct deposit instead? I had the same issue waiting for my card and finally gave up. Called EDD, got through after using Claimyr (claimyr.com - they have this video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km), and the rep helped me switch to direct deposit. Money was in my bank account two days later! Much better than waiting for that card, and you can still access all your previous payments once you switch.

I didn't even know direct deposit was an option! That would be so much easier. I'll check out that service if I can't get through tomorrow. How long did it take you to get connected to a rep using Claimyr?

I was connected to an EDD rep in about 25 minutes - compared to the hours I spent trying on my own without getting through. The rep told me lots of people don't know about the direct deposit option because it's not prominently mentioned during the initial claim process. Definitely worth the time saved!

i had this happen and found out someone STOLE my card from my mailbox!! make sure u ask if it was already activated!! if it was u need to report fraud immediately!!

Oh that's terrifying! I didn't even consider that possibility. My mailbox doesn't have a lock so that's definitely something to worry about. I'll definitely ask if it's been activated, thanks for the tip.

my neighbor's card took 2 months to come lol the system is broken

Just a follow up - if your Money Network card doesn't arrive after you've called them, and you've verified your address is correct, you can also request that they expedite a replacement card. There's a small fee (around $15) but they'll deduct it from your balance, and you'll get the card in 3-5 business days instead of the standard 7-10. Might be worth it with rent coming up.

That's really good to know, thank you! If they tell me it's going to be another week or more, I'll definitely pay for expedited shipping. $15 is worth it to get access to my benefits sooner.

UPDATE! I just remembered something important!! When you DO finally get your card, you have to ACTIVATE it by calling from the SAME PHONE NUMBER you listed on your EDD application!!! I spent days trying to activate mine and kept getting errors until an EDD rep told me this. So stupid but just a heads up!

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, but thank you for the warning! I'll make sure to use my cell phone when I activate it. These little details are exactly why this process is so frustrating.

Just to summarize the options for OP and anyone else reading this thread with a similar issue: 1. Call Money Network directly: 1-866-692-9374 2. Check card status online at www.moneynetwork.com/eddcard 3. Request expedited replacement if needed (costs ~$15) 4. Consider switching to direct deposit by contacting EDD 5. Verify your mailing address is correct in BOTH systems 6. If card was activated but you don't have it, report potential fraud Hope you get this resolved quickly!

Thank you so much for this summary! I called Money Network this morning and discovered my card was sent to my old address despite updating it with EDD. They're sending a new one to the correct address and expediting it. Should have it by Monday! The rep also helped me set up direct deposit for future payments. Really appreciate everyone's help!

Glad to hear you got it sorted out! This is such a common issue and your experience highlights exactly why the EDD and Money Network systems need to sync better. For anyone else reading this - Jacob's solution shows that calling Money Network directly really is the fastest way to resolve card issues. The address mismatch between EDD and Money Network systems is unfortunately super common, so always verify that first. And switching to direct deposit for future payments is honestly the smart move - eliminates all these card delivery headaches completely.

Absolutely agree! I'm new to this whole EDD process and was getting really worried about my card too after reading the original post. It's crazy that there are essentially two separate systems that don't talk to each other properly. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences here - I'm definitely going to set up direct deposit from the start rather than deal with potential card issues. This thread is super helpful for newcomers like me who had no idea about these common problems!

As someone who just started my EDD claim process last month, this thread is incredibly eye-opening! I had no idea about the potential issues with the Money Network card system or that direct deposit was even an option. The fact that EDD and Money Network don't sync address information properly seems like such a basic system flaw that should have been fixed by now. I'm definitely going to bookmark that Money Network phone number (1-866-692-9374) and the direct deposit option in case I run into similar issues. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences - it's posts like this that make this community so valuable for navigating the confusing EDD system!

This thread has been a lifesaver for me too! I just filed my first EDD claim two weeks ago and was wondering why I hadn't received my card yet. Reading through everyone's experiences here, especially @Jacob Smithson s'journey from problem to solution, gives me a clear roadmap if I run into the same issues. The address sync problem between EDD and Money Network seems to be a recurring theme that affects so many people. I m'definitely going to proactively call Money Network to verify my address is correct rather than wait and potentially deal with the same headache. Really grateful for communities like this where people share real solutions!

Just want to echo what everyone else has said - this thread is incredibly helpful! I'm currently on week 3 of my EDD claim and haven't received my card yet either. After reading through all these responses, I'm going to call Money Network tomorrow to check on the status and verify my address. It's honestly ridiculous that in 2025 we still have these basic system integration issues between EDD and Money Network. The fact that updating your address with EDD doesn't automatically update it with Money Network is such a fundamental flaw. I really appreciate everyone sharing their real experiences here - it's so much more useful than the generic information on the official websites. Going to save that Money Network number and definitely consider switching to direct deposit once I get this initial card situation resolved!

I'm in the exact same boat as you! Filed my claim 4 weeks ago and still no card. This thread has been incredibly helpful - I had no idea about the address sync issues between EDD and Money Network. It's honestly mind-blowing that in 2025 these government systems can't communicate with each other properly. I'm definitely calling that Money Network number (1-866-692-9374) first thing tomorrow to check my card status and verify my address. Thanks to @Jacob Smithson for sharing his whole journey from problem to solution - it really shows the steps we need to take. And thanks to everyone else for all the practical tips! This community is so much more helpful than trying to navigate the official EDD website.

Wow, reading through this entire thread as someone who just started the EDD process has been incredibly educational! I filed my claim 2 weeks ago and was starting to get worried about not receiving my card yet. @Jacob Smithson, thank you for sharing your complete experience from start to resolution - it really shows the step-by-step process others can follow. The address synchronization issue between EDD and Money Network seems to be such a widespread problem that affects so many claimants. It's honestly shocking that these systems don't communicate properly in 2025! I'm definitely going to be proactive and call Money Network at 1-866-692-9374 tomorrow to verify my address and check on my card status rather than wait and potentially face the same delays. Also really appreciate everyone mentioning the direct deposit option - I had no idea that was available and it sounds much more reliable than dealing with potential card delivery issues. This community is invaluable for navigating these bureaucratic challenges!

I'm also new to the EDD system (just filed 3 weeks ago) and was getting increasingly anxious about my missing card. @Jacob Smithson s'detailed experience and everyone s'helpful responses have given me such a clear action plan. I m'definitely calling Money Network tomorrow at 1-866-692-9374 to check my status proactively rather than waiting around. @Finley Garrett you re so'right about this community being more helpful than the official resources - the real-world experiences and solutions shared here are exactly what newcomers like us need to navigate this confusing system successfully!
