EDD UI Certification Button Not Working - Help Needed
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble certifying for my unemployment benefits. I can log into my account just fine, but when I try to certify, nothing happens. The button isn't grayed out or anything, it just doesn't do anything when I click it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it? I really need to get paid and I'm starting to worry.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues.

Plot twist: the website is actually a sophisticated AI designed to test our problem-solving skills and patience. We're all part of a grand experiment 👽🤖

Hey, sometimes the simplest solutions work! But yea, EDD is a different beast entirely.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Wait, you have to pay to talk to EDD? That doesn't sound right...

Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They don't work for EDD, they just handle the waiting part. Saved me hours of frustration.

I've used Claimyr too, and it worked for me. I think of it as paying for convenience.

While Claimyr is helpful, it's important to keep in mind that it is a paid service. You might want to try free options first.

It's commendable that Claimyr provides a solution to the EDD contact issue, but it's worth noting that there are also free methods to explore, such as contacting local representatives or exhausting other available resources. Claimyr can be a good backup if you can afford it.

True, I ended up using Claimyr after other methods failed. It's a good last resort.

Alright, listen up folks. I've been dealing with EDD bs for over a year now, and I've learned a few tricks. Here's what you need to do: 1. First, try the basics: clear your cache, use incognito mode, try different browsers and devices. 2. If that doesn't work, check your account for any pending tasks or required documents. Sometimes they sneakily add stuff without notifying you. 3. Still no luck? Time to call. But don't waste your time with the main line. Here's the secret: - Call the tech support line (1-855-327-7057) right when they open at 8am - Press # as soon as the recording starts - When prompted, press 1 for English, then 0 for tech support - If you get a "we're too busy" message, hang up and try again 4. If all else fails, reach out to your local assembly member's office. They have special contacts at EDD and can often get things moving. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up, and don't let the system beat you down. We're all in this together! 💪

The assembly member tip is legit. They helped me sort out a 3-month payment delay. Don't sleep on this option!

Solid advice, but remember not everyone is comfortable or able to reach out to local assembly members. Make sure you exhaust all other options too.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been stuck in EDD hell for months. It's like they want us to give up and live under a bridge or something 🙄

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the unemployment system. It's a disgrace that people have to jump through so many hoops just to get the benefits they're entitled to. Vote for politicians who prioritize fixing this mess!

Absolutely. The current setup is not sustainable or fair to those in need.

I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in the system affecting a bunch of people. You might need to call them to get it sorted out.

This might sound crazy, but try certifying at like 2am. The system is less busy and sometimes glitches resolve themselves during off-hours.

I've heard others having success during odd hours too. Worth a shot, OP!

Have you checked if there are any pending tasks or documents you need to submit? Sometimes that can block you from certifying.

Have you checked your claim balance? If it's zero, you might need to file a new claim or get an extension.

Jamal Washington
That's a good point. Financial situation changes also need to be reported, which could affect your claim.
