Has anyone else noticed that EDD seems to be worse since COVID? I swear it used to be easier to get help.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. (https://claimyr.com

Ugh, been there done that. First thing you need to do is make sure your doc actually sent in the paperwork. They say they did, but half the time they forget or it gets lost in the mail. Call your doctor's office and ask for proof of submission.

have you tried faxing the paperwork yourself? sometimes that works better than waiting for your doc to do it

Have you tried using the online portal? Sometimes you can submit stuff there without having to deal with the phone nightmare.
