EDD Login Reset Nightmare: Can't Remember Last Check Amount for Reapplying
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with EDD. I need to reapply but I'm stuck because I forgot my login password. When I try to reset it, they're asking for info about my last check, which I can't remember for the life of me. Anyone been through this? How did you handle it? I just want to know how to reapply without all this hassle.

Ugh, been there done that. EDD's system is such a pain sometimes. Have you tried calling their tech support line? They might be able to help you reset your password without needing the check info.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's so frustrating 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? That's steep for something that should be free 🙄

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do: 1. Go to the EDD website and click on 'Forgot Password' 2. They'll ask for your username and some personal info 3. If you can't remember your last check amount, try looking through your bank statements 4. If that doesn't work, you might need to verify your identity again 5. As a last resort, you can file a new claim and explain your situation Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more info.

•This is solid advice. Wish I had this when I was struggling with the same issue last month!

•Seriously! It's like they designed the system to make it as difficult as possible. We shouldn't need third-party services or political connections just to access benefits we're entitled to.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assemblymember's office? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD.

•I didn't even know that was an option! How do I find my assemblymember?

•Just Google '[your city] California assemblymember'. They usually have a 'contact us' form on their website for constituent services.

Hey Giovanni! I went through this exact same issue a few months ago. Here's what worked for me: I couldn't remember my last check amount either, so I went to my local EDD office in person with my ID and Social Security card. They were able to verify my identity on the spot and help me reset my password without needing the check details. It took about 2 hours of waiting, but I walked out with access to my account. Way faster than trying to get through on the phone! Check if your local office has walk-in hours - some are by appointment only now.

•@Keisha Williams This is incredibly helpful! I had no idea you could go in person for password resets. Do you remember which documents they actually needed beyond ID and Social Security card? And did they ask you any security questions, or was the physical ID verification enough? I m'definitely going to try this route - 2 hours of waiting beats weeks of trying to get through on the phone!

•@Keisha Williams That s'amazing advice! I didn t'even think about going in person. Do you know if all EDD offices can help with password resets, or should I call ahead to make sure? I m'willing to wait 2 hours if it means I can finally get back into my account and reapply. Thanks for sharing your experience!
