Uploaded document missing from EDD account - what to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with some documents I uploaded to the system. I went to check the 'documents I uploaded' section, but the file I thought I had submitted wasn't there. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm worried my important paperwork didn't go through and it might delay my claim. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I've been there before. The system can be so frustrating sometimes! 🤦♂️ Have you tried uploading the document again? Sometimes it just doesn't go through the first time.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a shot. Do you know if there's a way to check if the upload was successful?

•Usually, you should see a confirmation message right after the upload. If you don't see that, it probably didn't work. Also, check your email - sometimes they send a confirmation there too.

•Pro tip: take screenshots of everything you do on their website. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with these bureaucratic nightmares 😅

I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in there system that was affecting document uploads for like a week. You might wanna call and check if they're having any known issues.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues. Also, make sure you're using a supported browser. I know it sounds basic, but it fixed my problem when I was having upload issues.

•I hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a try. What browser do you use?

•I use Chrome, but I've heard Firefox works well too. Just avoid Internet Explorer - it's basically extinct at this point lol

Honestly, their whole system is a joke. I've had so many problems with uploads, missing information, and just general nonsense. It's like they're stuck in the 90s or something. 🙄

•Preach! 🙌 I swear they make it complicated on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits.

•C'mon guys, it's not that bad. Sure, it has its issues, but at least we have an online system. My cousin in another state has to do everything by mail!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Try uploading the document again, but this time use a different file format if possible (e.g., PDF instead of JPEG). 2. Make sure the file size isn't too large. There's usually a limit, often around 5MB. 3. Double-check that you're logged into the correct account. 4. If none of that works, call their support line. Yes, it's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get things sorted. 5. While on the call, ask them to confirm if they can see any previous upload attempts on their end. 6. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor or to have your case escalated. 7. Keep a record of all your interactions, including dates, times, and names of people you speak with. 8. As a last resort, consider reaching out to your local representative's office. They sometimes have channels to help with these issues. Remember, persistence is key when dealing with bureaucracy. Don't give up!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds interesting, but $20 just to talk to someone? That's kinda steep...

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Saved me hours of frustration and missed work trying to get through.

•Is this legit? Seems a bit sketchy to pay for something that should be free.

•Totally get the skepticism, but it's a real service. They don't access any of your personal info, just dial and wait on hold for you. Saved me a ton of time and headache.

Another thing to check - make sure the file name doesn't have any special characters or spaces. I had issues uploading a document called "Medical Records - January 2024.pdf" but when I renamed it to "MedicalRecords_Jan2024.pdf" it worked fine. The system can be picky about file naming conventions. Also, try uploading during off-peak hours (like early morning or late evening) when their servers aren't as busy - sometimes that helps with the upload success rate.
