PFL payment issued by EDD but not received in bank account - help!
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my PFL payment. The EDD system shows that the payment was issued a few days ago, and I've double-checked that my direct deposit details are correct. But I still haven't received the money in my account. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing the delay?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! My payment was supposed to hit my account last week, but still nothing. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money to come through. Have you tried calling EDD? (Good luck getting through tho š

ā¢I haven't been able to get through on the phone yet. Been trying for days. It's like they don't want us to talk to a real person!

ā¢Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold last time. Still sucks, but better than nothing.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

ā¢Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Sometimes there can be a delay between when EDD issues the payment and when it actually hits your bank account. I'd give it a couple more days before panicking. If it doesn't show up by the end of the week, definitely follow up with them.

Here's what I've learned about PFL payments after dealing with this system for months: ⢠EDD typically issues payments within 2 weeks of approving a claim ⢠Once issued, it can take 1-3 business days for the money to appear in your account ⢠If you don't see the payment after 5 business days, there might be an issue ⢠Common problems include: - Incorrect bank info - Bank rejecting the deposit - EDD system glitch If you're still not seeing the money, I'd recommend: 1. Double-check your bank info on the EDD website 2. Call your bank to see if they've received any attempted deposits 3. Contact EDD (easier said than done, I know) Hope this helps! Let us know if you get it sorted out.

ā¢Wow, thanks for the detailed info! This is super helpful. I'll give it another day or two and then start investigating further if needed.

I swear the EDD system is held together with duct tape and prayers. How hard is it to make sure people get their money on time?

ā¢For real tho. It's 2023, why does everything with the government still feel like it's running on Windows 95?

Quick question - did you check if the payment amount matches what you were expecting? Sometimes they issue partial payments and that can cause confusion.

ā¢Good point! I just double-checked and the amount looks correct. At least that part isn't messed up š

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just go back to paper checks. At least then we'd know exactly when it was mailed out š¤·āāļø
