PFL payment issued by EDD but not received in bank account - help!

Ugh, I'm in the same boat! My payment was supposed to hit my account last week, but still nothing. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money to come through. Have you tried calling EDD? (Good luck getting through tho 🙄

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sometimes there can be a delay between when EDD issues the payment and when it actually hits your bank account. I'd give it a couple more days before panicking. If it doesn't show up by the end of the week, definitely follow up with them.

I swear the EDD system is held together with duct tape and prayers. How hard is it to make sure people get their money on time?

Quick question - did you check if the payment amount matches what you were expecting? Sometimes they issue partial payments and that can cause confusion.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just go back to paper checks. At least then we'd know exactly when it was mailed out 🤷‍♂️
